The Outsiders

We go film by film fiercely defending our top ten. Seth scores a YUGE victory at the very end, vanquishing the evil Todd from the land.

The boys go back and forth, each vociferously defending his best film picks.  Todd takes the high scholarly route for his choices, while Seth goes the Marie Kondo road. #doesitsparkjoy

Also, Seth's panties may or may not drop.

Here's a link to THR's top 100 list, which we based ours of off:

We open with a discussion about acting on camera vs. on stage. Spoiler alert- we both started on stage and find the camera to be a tricky beast.

Then we give our take on what the Hollywood Reporter claims are the top 10 movies of all time, and Todd challenges Seth to come up with his own top 10 for the next episode so they can argue it out :).

Todd finishes with a fun story about waiting on Sr. Roberto De Niro.

We go deep into the dos and don'ts of relocating for your acting career, with a focus on moving to LA since that's what we both did.  Move to the city you actually LIKE, but also one where your skills are likely to get you a job.  Get a side job ASAP.  Seth talks about the unfortunate conditions of his children's theatre experience.

Here's a link to stream the red carpet premier of the film I mention in this episode.  Prime opportunity for all you Trekkies :) https://livestreamevents.kartra.com/page/fkQ4?fbclid=IwAR21EZb2kJ0b8qrw0agMhfGoOvbXKQxFh5p5ezvxjvy0ehvOE6pzdCcJ840

We open with more on Hollywood's "reopening" and kindly encourage all of our listeners to wear masks so that we can all get back to work more quickly.

Todd describes his first virtual audition and plugs his Hollywood themed educational series Walk of Fame Wednesdays. Seth quickly reviews Dark on Netflix and the boys discuss keeping their heads in the game (accountability, cough cough) with very little going on in the entertainment industry. Audition by Michael Shurtleff- READ IT :)

Numero seis! Lots more about "reopening," Todd's college training, and family issues that might arise when you enter the biz. Seth reviews the virtual show he saw last week and the boys have their first pod-fight :o).

We Really fun one :).  T

raining! We go deep into Seth's college training, particularly his path to a theatre major. Then a few celebrity stories and we discuss the Geffen Playhouse's very innovative and socially distanced virtual theatre production. Concludes with our newest segment: WEEKLY TIPS! [email protected]

We talk a little about the "reopening" of Hollywood, but more about our full support the Black Lives Matter movement and how hard it is to have racial conversations as white people.   We watched this episode before posting and thought that we looked and sounded super uncomfortable most of the time. Then Seth (serendipitously) read a post by an activist friend suggesting that if you're not uncomfortable, you're not having the right conversation.

We pledge to continue having these conversations.

email us at [email protected] if you'd like to be a part of these conversations.

Much love

-Seth &Todd

We go deep into Todd's Hollywood on-set experience, Seth gets mildly jealous of his interactions with Patti LuPone.  Digressions include the extreme importance of training and  team building in Hollywood, and the challenges posed by hair.

#2! Todd talks about his experience being cast in Ryan Murphy's Hollywood, Seth Mentions his #metoo experience, and we emphasize the importance of actors knowing their movie history
