The Sibs examine and discuss the story Netflix limited series, “When They See Us” - the depicted story of the attack of a Central Park Jogger which led to the (illegal) questioning and eventual charging and incarceration of five black and brown boys from New York City’s least privileged families and communities. They became known as the Central Park Five (or shall we say, the Exonerated Five). We review their stories, share our insights and offer our heartfelt prayers and hugs to them and their families.
Also on the show, The Sibs celebrate Juneteenth, the emancipation of slavery on June 19, 1865. If you know, you know. If you don’t, read our latest article about the history of Juneteenth here http://bit.ly/whatisjuneteenth
The Sibs also attended their first Pride Parade in Philly and found that there “ain’t no party like LGBTQ party ‘cause a LGBTQ party don’t stop!”
