January can be a tough month, but for many, the pandemic has brought additional struggles with mental health, redundancy and isolation - among other stresses. In this episode we talk to advertising and marketing organisation NABS about the services they provide to help and support people in the industry. And we speak to Rose Frimpong, co-host of podcast Two Twos, about settling up the Black LGBTQIA+ Therapy Fund and taking part in Bumble’s #MyLoveisBlackLove campaign. Joanne Oatts talks to Tea Uglow (she/they), Creative Director at Google's Creative Lab in Sydney, which works with organisations to explore the space between technology and the arts - and where they intersect. Tea is a global speaker on innovation, creativity, and diversity, as well as the author of two books: A Curiosity of Doubts and Loud & Proud - a collection of speeches from the LGBTQ+ community that have changed our world. In May 2016 Tea spoke at the Sydney Writers Festival on Doubt as a creative catalyst. It was during this talk that Tea publicly acknowledged that she is transgender for the first time. Tea has since been celebrated as one of Australia's OUT50 LGBTQ Leaders by Deloitte and Editions at Play, and awarded a Peabody-Facebook Futures of Media Award.
