  • OS38: Didi Taihuttu – Bitcoin, Minimalism & Prioritizing Freedom

After building the complete picture of happiness sold to each of us by society, Didi Taihuttu was more stressed and worn-out than ever. Upon realizing this, he didn't get angry. Quite simply, he sold it all back in an effort to reclaim his and his family's freedom. Unlike many who spend their lives addicted to the accumulation of material goods, Didi was able to take a step back and see that - in fact - the "stuff" was taking away from his happiness, creating more stress, worry and anxiety. So, he sold everything and with his wife & 3 girls, traveled the world. But, the question remained - what to do with all the money made? In keeping with his unconventional pattern of defying the norm, Didi invested all of it - every last dime - in cryptocurrencies. And this has turned him into a fascinating story for the media and an inspiration for us. This episode of the Ownstream Podcast features Didi and his story, but also reveals - in laymen's terms - what cryptocurrencies are (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc), clarifies the brilliance of the blockchain and, most importantly, reveals what drives him and his family more than anything else (and how their motivation has nothing to do with making money). Enjoy!

  • OS37: Stephen & Theresa – Van Life with Baby, Repatterning, Bentinho & More
So, what is it like living in a van for 3 months? Where did we go and what did we learn? Where are we off to next? And, how did our 1-year old daughter handle the #vanlife lifestyle? (amazingly well, but there's more) We're back in San Diego for a few weeks and are excited to share what we have learned thus far and hopefully inspire you to take a bold leap out of the mainstream path and create something uniquely your own. We have found that by following our highest excitement (often with no idea what awaits us down the path) that we are profoundly provided for, are supported in every way, and are called further and further into deeper union with our true "Self". Indeed, what started as a journey into nature and the wild with the aim to cut all ties to our old lifestyle and inquire more deeply into how we truly wanted to live (a notion we call "repatterning") evolved into a powerful spiritual adventure bringing us into greater connection with each other and, most importantly, to our selves. Now, after this wonderful time on the road, we are more clear than ever on how to serve, and are being steered towards a breathtaking future that we could not have possibly dreamed of prior to our van life journey. Ultimately, we have found remarkable clarity by leaping into the unknown and trust more than ever before, that the universe truly has our back...and yours too. Enjoy! • OS36: Ben Hewitt – Unschooling, Fostering Curiosity & Learning To Let Go

Author, dad and farmer Ben Hewitt has emerged as one of the leaders in the alternative education movement. For over a decade he and his wife Penny have explored the nuances of "unschooling" their kids (a word they admittedly dislike). Basically, the idea is to give kids room to explore, follow their excitement and then - as parents - step in and facilitate, add enthusiasm and get out of the way. The result are two boys who are independent, confident and highly expressed. This road has led them through all manner of peaks and valleys, which we explore in this conversation. What happened when Ben's eldest son wasn't reading by the (supposed) "correct" time? What did Ben and Penny do when they discovered their youngest son trapping animals on their farm? How did they respond when their eldest suddenly desired a traditional school/educational experience? And, what are their views of the standard educational system in the west now with over 10 years of experience behind them? We discuss this and much, much more with Ben Hewitt in this Ownstream Podcast interview. Mostly, we delve into the remarkable nature of learning and creativity and how joyful and expansive it can be if we simply allow kids to follow their own excitement, and then, do the hardest thing: let go. Enjoy!

  • OS35: Anurag Gupta – Live Your Calling, Have Enough & Be Awesome
Anurag Gupta's message is simple: discover & devote your life to your "calling". From here, design an architecture and environment around you to support the further exploration and realization of your aim. This is a rather simple path, but one that could prove to be the most challenging - and possibly the most important one - you ever embark upon. For some (including us) the changes needed can be dramatic - leaving a job, selling your 'stuff', dropping friendships, finding your true voice and expressing that. It seems that fulfillment and true joy only when one steps fully into the space of one's calling and lives FROM that place. Oh, and as Anurag so clearly states in this interview - it's never about where you're going (and the pictures and vision which accompany that). No, in fact, in many cases we must drop all attachment to what we want and allow our calling or truth to lead us. It will lead to many surprises perhaps, but ultimately a much better place than what we (and our programming) could design for us. In this conversation, Anurag lays out his vision for how to live a life of joyful fulfillment. It's simple, but not easy. For us, his message has been one of the most inspiring we've ever heard. We hope you feel the same. For more on this episode, plus the show notes, please visit -

  • OS34: Lynne McTaggart – Intention, The Field & The Power of 8

Lynne McTaggart admits she is a "disruptor". Trained as an investigative journalist, she is highly skilled at identifying questionable practices or truths, exploring these deeply and testing them to obtain some measure of objectivity. Initially, it was medical practices and treatments that didn't seem to deliver their promised results. This led to her highly successful magazine "What Doctors Don't Tell You". She never expected her life's journey to propel her into the study of spirituality, consciousness and healing. But, as is so often the case, our path can sometimes be surprising as it leads us to our destiny of fulfillment and service. This has certainly been the case for Lynne as she now explores the power of small groups of people (8, in fact) that - together - focus on a collective intention aiming to positively impact others. These intentions range from lowering the death tolls in war-torn areas to healing a disease in a specific person. The results are astonishing, most notably in the group members themselves. Seems all sorts of miracles can flow once we focus on serving others. These amazing results form the basis of this week's Ownstream podcast interview with Lynne. Learn "what" an intention truly is, how to form your own groups of 8 (and how to focus them) & why there is such power and leverage within the vast field of consciousness which connects us all. It was a huge pleasure speaking with Lynne, a true leader at the vital intersection of science and spirit. Enjoy!
