Anthony Arnull holds the Barber Chair of Jurisprudence at the University of Birmingham. He has specialized in the law of the European Union for over 30 years and worked at the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg from 1989-92. He has given evidence to a number of UK Parliamentary Select Committees and acted as Specialist Adviser to the House of Lords EU Committee. In 2013-14, he served as an output assessor on the Law Sub-Panel for the 2014 Research Assessment Exercise (REF).

Mark Glancy is Reader in Film History at Queen Mary University of London. His media work includes appearances on the BBC Radio Four programmes Archive Hour, Back Row, and Great Lives, as well as many articles on film history for the magazines BBC History and History Revealed. Most recently, he served as the editorial consultant and on-screen contributor to the feature-length documentary film Becoming Cary Grant (2017). His publications include When Hollywood Loved Britain: The Hollywood "British" Film, 1939-1945 (1999), The 39 Steps: A British Film Guide (2003), and, as a co-editor, The New Film History: Methods, Sources, Approaches (2007), and Hollywood and the Americanization of Britain, from the 1920s to the present (2013).

David Acheson is an Emeritus Fellow of Jesus College, Oxford, and the University's first winner of a National Teaching Fellowship, in 2004. He was President of the Mathematical Association from 2010 to 2011, and now lectures widely on mathematics to young people and the general public. In 2013, Acheson was awarded an Honorary D.Sc. by the University of East Anglia for his outstanding work in the popularisation of mathematics. His books include 1089 and All That (OUP, 2002), and The Calculus Story, (OUP, 2017).
