Happy October! Alora and Jess discuss SBAR and how they navigate through that template to communicate with doctors and engage in other interprofessional conversations. Alora is the boss at giving reports! So, we need to hear her tips and tricks! They discuss nonverbal communication and lessons learned through effective communication in the workplace. New Grads, BE LOUD; we need to be heard. We do not need to suffer in silence. You are smart, and you should trust your intuition. You know more than you think! Additionally, if you don’t feel comfortable taking a verbal order over the phone, it is entirely appropriate to ask the provider to place the order themselves. Protect your license, protect your patients.
