Florida’s proposed “Don’t Say Gay” bill passed in a 69-47 vote in the Florida House. It will now move onto the Florida Senate. The bill states that “Classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity may not occur in kindergarten through grade three.” President Biden criticized the bill for being anti-LGBTQ+, while Florida Governor DeSantis supported the bill for giving parents a say in their child’s education.
