Julie Griffin has had a lifelong interest in the paranormal. Growing up in the Midwest in two haunted houses was not a scary experience as the activity only happened during the daytime. Footsteps above, doors opening, even items falling off the kitchen counter were more of a curiosity. Her Mom would explain them as the “personality” of the house and it never felt threatening. In 2009 she decided to learn about paranormal investigating with a local group and to her amazement, the photographs started after only three months. Within two years she had captured many high quality photos which later became the book “Ghostly Photographs”.

Travels throughout the northeast to known haunted locations deepened her understanding of the spirit world and more captures on her camera. She has had over 90% of the best captures happen during the day, especially in the late morning. During a very intense experience in April of 2011 to Gettysburg, she began seeing “dead people”. This new ability took years to grow and develop. Taking classes and working with skilled Mediums, this turned into actual communication with the other side. Julie went public with this ability in 2018, now a gifted Psychic Medium. The photographs of phenomena continue along with her readings that bringing messages from those in spirit.

Author C.L. Thomas travels widely every year as a fine arts photographer and writer exploring afterlife research, OBEs, metaphysics, folklore, and paranormal events and groups. She is an author of the novel “Speaking to Shadows” and host of the Small Town Tales Podcast. She has written many articles and maintains a blog on legends, folklore magic, and paranormal stories. Currently, she resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, with her beloved Golden Retriever and Maine Coon cat.

The Ansonia Opera House in Ansonia, Connecticut, has been officially closed for nearly 50 years, but it is said that mysterious creatures still dwell there.


Visitors claim to have seen ghostly orbs and floating specters. If you believe the rumors, there are more than 40 spirits inhabiting the opera house. One paranormal team claims to have seen a goat humanoid creature up on a balcony. They believe that the opera house serves as an interdimensional portal, which may explain why spirits seem to come and then suddenly disappear.

Our show this week recounts the near-death experience of a very special man.


Robert Neal Marshall has worked for many years in the Arts in various creative positions which include actor, director, producer, casting director, and playwright. He graduated from New York University Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film and is currently Executive Director for Columbia Festival of the Arts in Maryland.


Early projects took him to Berlin, Germany for Regina Ziegler Productions and Chicago, IL with Jack Lieb Productions. In the mid 1980’s Marshall had a rare opportunity in London’s West End as Assistant to Agent and Theatrical Producer Richard Armitage on several hit shows, including ME AND MY GIRL with Robert Lindsay and Emma Thompson and HIGH SOCIETY with Natasha Richardson.

Marshall has independently produced stage productions in the West End at the Donmar Warehouse, at the famed Edinburgh Festival, in Southampton, UK, and back in the US. His documentary, MR OCEAN LINER, premiered on board Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 and screened at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center at Lincoln Center. Marshall’s credits include multiple independent feature films and shorts as Production Manager and Line Producer.


As Casting Associate with Pat Moran, CSA (HAIRSPRAY, THE WIRE) Marshall was a member of the team to win an Emmy® award for casting GAME CHANGE and an Emmy® nomination for casting season one of the comedy VEEP, both for HBO.

As a member of SAG-AFTRA and Actors’ Equity, Marshall’s work features Off Broadway, Regional stage, Film & Television roles, including AWESOME 80’S PROM and HOUSE OF CARDS. For 12 years Marshall has been a guest lecturer for the Cunard Insights Enrichment Program.

Raised in a theatrical family, Marshall’s mother is actress turned photographer Bette Marshall. whose recent pictorial “Young Whitney - Stories and Photographs” is a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the pre-fame life of a yet unknown 18-year-old Whitney Houston. His father was Music and Entertainment Law attorney Paul G. Marshall.


Marshall is also a survivor of a near-death experience having gone into V-Fib “The Widow Maker” in an ambulance where he was resuscitated by paramedics.


Robert’s critically acclaimed documentary, BACK FROM THE LIGHT on the aftereffects of surviving a near death experience is the topic of several inspirational talks and asks the question “What would you do if a loved one died… then came back to talk about it?”

John Zaffis has over forty-three years of experience studying and investigating the paranormal. He has had the opportunity to work for and with his aunt and uncle, Ed and Lorraine Warren. He has also worked extensively with both spiritualists and psychics concerning how their knowledge is used for channeling, reincarnation (past-life regression), calling of the spirits for information, and how they use meditation to acquire the information which they are seeking. Because of his personal experiences with hauntings, ESP, near-death experiences, and other paranormal activities, he is convinced that such phenomena exist.

John has been featured in the SyFy television series Haunted Collector., Discovery Channel's documentaries A Haunting in Connecticut, and Little Lost Souls. John has also appeared on Unsolved Mysteries, Piers Morgan, and many other print and news media events. John also appears in Graveyards and In A Dark Place, both books written by Ed and Lorraine Warren. John's first book, Shadows of the Dark, co-written with Brian McIntyre, was released in September 2004. John has also appeared on Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures. John is working on multiple follow-up books currently and is lecturing all over the United States at colleges and universities.

Over the years, John has collected hundreds of possessed items either given to or sent to him by people wishing to be rid of them. The John Zaffis Paranormal Museum opened in 2004 in order to display these items and continues to be open today. John wrote and starred in the documentary film Museum of the Paranormal, released in 2010, which gives the viewer a tour of his museum and the stories behind some of the objects. John was the starring role in the television series Haunted Collector which ran on SyFy from 2011 through 2013.

Rob Stachowicz is a paranormal investigator and the owner of Get Haunted, a paranormal services and events company. He has been investigating and researching the paranormal for well over a decade and has investigated many of America’s most haunted locations. From the Queen Mary to 11 nights at the infamous Farmhouse on Round Top Road, he has hundreds of investigations on the books. His experiences range from mildly curious occurrences to truly life-changing phenomenon. He continues to explore and learn as much as he can, as often as he can. His quest to understand the paranormal, all that the universe has to offer, has become his predominant daily mission.

While primarily working in the paranormal field on residential cases, they also work with various Demonologists, an Exorcist, as well as other Paranormal Teams to remove ìproblematicî objects and contain them for safe keeping in their home/museum.

Lauren's interest in the supernatural go back her early days of watching Ghostbusters as a child and progressed as paranormal shows started to develop on TV. She has been working in the paranormal field since 2012 and founded her own team in 2015 with her daughter. Lauren is a ìsensitiveî and currently working on developing her mediumship skills with her friend and mentor in hopes to further assist those in need of help with the unknown.

Danny has been dabbling in the paranormal field since the late 80's but became serious in the mid 90's shortly after meeting up with Ed and Lorraine Warren. Since doing so, it's been his passion to work with those in need of help with the unknown and supernatural. Though he has experienced some things he cannot fully explain, he's not a true believer in the supernatural. He wants to believe but his view is that anything is possible, just usually not probable. Though considering himself an objective skeptic, he never underplays or discounts anyone else's experiences or claims.
