  • The Social Dilemma and the War for Our Souls

    Send us Fan Mail

The Social Dilemma is a film produced by Netflix in 2020. When I saw it, I was blown away by all of the information they provide regarding social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, etc.

I show it to my students as a supplement to Jordan Peterson's Rule 4: Compare Yourself to Who You Were Yesterday, Not to Who Someone else is today.  Since kids are always comparing themselves to others online, I thought this would be a great way to convince them to stop (or at least reduce the amount of time spent on social media). Here's hoping it works!

In this episode I share my perspective about what they have to say. Enjoy and share!

Sorry I haven' done a recording for a minute, but the house got sick and needed tending to: myself included.  God bless my wonderful wife who somehow was left (thankfully) unscatthed.

Over the past weeks, I've been asked rather unprecedented questions from my students. At least in my 21 years of teaching, I've never, ever heard these before.  Here are three that I see as a bad omen of where this country is heading.

Here are some items mentioned in the episode in case you're curious:

Chauvin was never accused as a "racist" at any poing during his trial (but you know the media loves a good narrative). Isn't that why we allowed protesters to burn down Minneapolis? Now, don't get me wrong, I think Chauvin is a douche, no one is arguing that -https://www.nationalreview.com/2021/04/what-the-media-didnt-tell-you-about-the-chauvin-case/

Jurasic Park quote - "Now, some West African frogs are able to spontaneously change sex from male to female in a single sex environment. Malcolm was right... life found a way."

This one was recorded off the cuff, but I had to get it out there. After being coaxed into a conversation I had no desire to enter, I was crucified for answering honestly. Regardless, even when they hate you, pray for them:  “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” (Matthew 5:43–44).

This episode is a prayer of sorts... enjoy!
