Again and again, we hear about how the “evil” Russians – with Vladimir Putin leading the way – want to take down the U.S., maybe even teaming up with China to do so. After all, haven’t they already done a host of terrible things, like using deadly nerve agents to murder double agents who were living in other countries? What this sort of talk routinely neglects is simple reasoning: what would Putin gain if the U.S. falls, thus leaving, as superpowers only Russia – and China: a China that would then naturally being to look with envy on the vast Russian territories, and their incredible wealth of natural resources. This episode is a contribution towards exploding the myth that Putin is our “natural enemy”; in fact, he should be our natural ally in the ideological warfare being waged between those who love freedom, and those extremely powerful collectivists whose goal has always been domination: the Chinese Communist party.

After over a year of vehemently and mockingly denying that Covid-19 could have originated in a laboratory in Wuhan, now people to the left of center on the political spectrum are seeing themselves forced to admit that which they were previously totally unable to even imagine: that Donald Trump was right! This episode deals with the great folly of demonizing someone to the extreme, to such an extent that reasonable people can only be astounded at the narrow-mindedness of those who have apparently been “hypnotized” by repetitive political propaganda.

Do you tend to think that “things will go on more or less as before”, even when there are signs that, if you pondered them, would make you believe otherwise? Do you realize that at certain points in history, tremendous, terrible events happened suddenly, and changed the everyday lives of millions? WWII, 9/11/2001, and the Covid outbreak are merely three examples of such upheavals, and we could soon be seeing more of the same. This podcast deals with how “inertia” keeps us in its grip by making us insensitive to exterior events to which we should be giving much more serious attention, and thought.

Unfortunately, there is a basic drive in many people to attach oneself to a “herd” of other, like-minded, non-individuals who then provide the emotional “security” that so many crave. This tendency is especially pronounced among those on the left, since that segment of the population tends to be easily swayed by collectivist ideologies. Of course, the true individual goes his or her own way, cherishing individual rights and truth more than the “comfort” of the mindless herd.

All-too-often, when communism or socialism are criticized, someone will eventually point out that capitalism isn’t perfect either, and that it should be abolished. Such thinking displays an ignorance of what capitalism actually is, amnd of its tremendous potential for generating more wealth for all. Not that it doesn’t have weaknesses: no system is “perfect” in a world in which people themselves are far from perfect. But if it is properly managed; if its excesses are controlled; if permitted to realize its positive potential, capitalism is the very best system there is for providing prosperity for everyone. This episode deals with capitalism – its weaknesses, and above all, its tremendous strengths as an economic system.

Suppose there were no such things a computers or cell phones (you older folks will remember those times!)… How would your day-to-day life be different from the way it is now? Have you ever thought about what you would do from hour to hour if you weren’t distracted by messages, constant phone calls, the desire to see what people are doing on Facebook, and thousands of other things that capture your attention throughout the day, all thanks to “modern technology”? This episode delves into a topic that should be more thoroughly pondered by everyone who has become a “slave” to the temptations of the digital age.

Many are those in the military who gave their lives for our country, so that Liberty and Democracy might survive. We call them rightly heroes, and we commemorate them for their bravery. But what about the many of us “normal people” in the present? What are we doing to ensure the future of freedom? What’s that you say? You don’t wish to speak up on social media platforms, since you’d like to avoid being insulted, or getting into debates? I’m sorry to say so, my friend: but those are the excuses of cowards!

When engaged in a discussion, debate, or even a “normal” conversation, do you ever get the feeling that the other person isn’t really hearing what you say? Here is a simple technique you can use to make sure they do listen to you – and that you will listen more carefully to them as well. After all, we can only really communicate if we actually know what is being said!

If a tree falls in the forest, and nobody is there, does it make a sound? And if aliens stop by the earth for a visit, and nobody notices them, are they really there? This episode deals with a very common phenomenon of our time: how a great number of people are so distracted by the millions of things presented to them on the Internet, that they don’t seem to take much notice at all when some truly monumental events occur.

Here is Part II of the little “game” I introduced in Episode 24: How can one country conquer another without initiating a “hot” war? In this part, I delve into it more extensively, and discuss what has been happening in the U.S. in the years up to the present.
