Mike Joseph is a life coach, a radio personality and mental health/sexuality educator. IN 2020, he created the podcast "Detoxicity", which he also hosts and produces. The show delves into what it means to be a man in the 21st century, exploring a wide array of topics such as relationships, creativity, psychology, and sexuality. Each episode features in-depth interviews with guests from diverse backgrounds, offering thoughtful, sensitive, and often humorous perspectives on masculinity and personal growth.

The podcast aims to provide a platform for men to engage in open conversations about emotional well-being, identity, and societal expectations. By addressing these themes, Detoxicity seeks to foster a more inclusive and nuanced understanding of modern masculinity.

You can listen to Detoxicity on various platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Podbean, and Podimo.

    DetoxPod 195: Tom Gentry

Hope you are doing as well as can be given current times. Remember, we are stronger together! Community remains of utmost importance!

I'm excited to bring you my conversation with Tom Gentry. Tom is not only a treasured friend, but he's a counselor specializing in addiction. He's also a passionate advocate for progressive masculinity, which makes him a perfect fit for Detoxpod! Tom and I chat about his own experience as an addict and what drove him to recovery. We talk about familial cycles and how the things we learn growing up can affect us without even knowing it. Tom and I chat about the term "toxic masculinity" and how using those words can sometimes negatively obscure the work that we do. And there's so much more!

Check out Tom's website and his podcast.

Hope you get something positive out of this conversation. Feel free to drop me a line and share your thoughts!

About The Path to Authenticity

From the publisher's feed

The Path to Authenticity is a podcast for people looking for more from life. It starts from the premise that our true power comes from our individuality. We talk to various types of writers and artists as well as therapists, coaches, teachers, entrepreneurs, and professionals of all kinds. Our guests possess one common trait. They’re people who know who they are. We talk about what makes them who they are, how they became who they are, and how we might become truer expressions of who we are.
