Carmen Beecher is a real artist and is the most current guest on The Paul Leslie Hour. A talented painter and illustrator, she grew up in a small town in Florida. Beecher's work has been expressed through a variety of avenues: book illustrations, comic strips, magazine covers and murals. She also wrote and illustrated a children's book.

Carmen Beecher collaborated with Hall of Fame songwriter Bobby Braddock in creating the 2020 book COUNTRY MUSIC’S GREATEST LINES: Lyrics, Stories & Sketches from American Classics. The book is a close-up look of 81 beloved American country music songs. Each song is described in a short written essay by Braddock, the opposite page features an accompanying illustration by Beecher.

Bobby Braddock was the very last guest of 2019. It was quite a way to say farewell to a great year. That interview was done in person in Nashville, Tennessee.

It's a pleasure to present the second Bobby Braddock interview, this time he joins us by telephone. Braddock is the only living songwriter to write number-one songs spanning 5 consecutive decades. He is also a record producer, sometimes a recording artist and occasionally a performing artist.

Bobby Braddock also writes a fine book! His third and latest book is entitled COUNTRY MUSIC'S GREATEST LINES: Lyrics, Stories & Sketches from American Classics. The book is illustrated by artist Carmen Beecher and takes an entertaining look at 81 classic songs.

Singer John Conlee was born and raised on a Kentucky tobacco farm. He had a number of occupations, including working as a radio disc jockey. He moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1971 to follow his dreams of being a vocalist and recording artist. In 1981, he joined the Grand Ole Opry where he performs to this day.

As a recording artist, he's had many hits and is heard on terrestrial country radio to this day and is a favorite on Sirius XM's Willie's Roadhouse. He continues to record and tour and has won the hearts of many lovers of great singing and songs.

Abraham Laboriel is 73 years old today! Born in Mexico City on July 17, 2020, he was called one of the greatest bassists of all time. He is definitely the most widely used session bass players, having played on more than 4,000 recordings and soundtracks.

He has played on albums from artists like George Benson, Barbra Streisand, Engelbert Humperdinck, Paul Simon, Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, Donald Fagen, Elton John, Larry Carlton and too many artists to list

He performed with jazz bands Koinonia and Friendship. These days he performs with the instrumental jazz band Open Hands, which performs and records.
