Paula Atherton's music exists at the crossroads of jubilation and class. A saxophonist, vocalist, performing and recording artist, she recently released her fifth album entitled "Shake It." Drummer, composer, performing and recording artist Antonio Sánchez was performing with the Pat Metheny Quartet at the Atlanta Symphony Hall. He graciously invited me backstage to record an interview before the concert. A number of topics were broached: his early years growing up in Mexico City, his grandfather the legendary actor Ignacio López Tarso, moving to Boston, performing with Pat Metheny, the score he composed for the film Birdman, and more.
It's our extreme pleasure to present Antonio Sánchez, a four time Grammy Award winner/Golden Globe nominee who could be called one of the most sought after drummers in the music world. He's right here on The Paul Leslie Hour.

Has there ever been a more gregarious and jovial musician than James Schneider? A pianist, bassist and world music multi-instrumentalist, he's pursued a lot of things in music from performing, teaching, recording, tour management, and more. Schneider's love for music is infectious. He's played for an audience of 60,000 people in Beijing, China, but put the same heart playing an impromptu song for a handful of people at J's Cigars and Coffee in Atlanta.
We were invited into the home of James Schneider where he told us some of his memories, and then treated us to a couple of songs on the piano. It's right here on The Paul Leslie Hour and you're invited.
