So it's about time I put some context to why I started this Podcast, and also what value you can gain from listening.

If you follow me on any other social channel, you'll already know the kind of content I create, but I wanted this Podcast to simply be an extension of that. To allow you to listen to my content, in audio format, whenever you needed too.

If you've never heard of me before, I share openly about my whole story in Episode 1 but also touch on it here. I aim to raise awareness around mental health by sharing openly about losing my Dad to suicide to dealing with my own mental health. I also try to share the stories of others too, to really hammer home that we're not alone when we think that we are.

I have a lot of plans for this Podcast, from quick episodes offering hope and positivity to sitting down with other people to hear their stories too. I'll also be interviewing people within the mental health system alongside influencers, and people in the limelight to try and see their take on how society currently addresses mental health.

I recently had the honour to head into the Sky studios for an interview with Kay Burley on Sky News. I wanted to play you the interview, alongside giving you a bit of a background into how it happened.

In the interview we spoke about the book, but also went into detail about my Dad's depression, his suicide, the way I dealt with it and the stigma that still surrounds mental health. It's only short, about 10 minutes long, but since it went live I've had numerous messages from people stating that it helped so I wanted to share it here.

My biggest takeaway from it is just how important it is that we talk openly about mental health. That we say how we feel and we're not afraid to talk openly about suicide either. The more people talk, the less people who feel ashamed to share how they feel.

A few months ago, I was interviewed by the guys over at 'Life Are We There Yet'. If I'm honest, I didn't expect the interview to go the way it did... but this was probably me at my most honest. We spoke about my Dad's downfall, his suicide, my struggles to deal with it and my battles with depression and anxiety. We also spoke about what I did that helped, alongside what I'm now doing to try and help others.

As a first episode for this brand new Podcast, I thought this would be the perfect start. This is me, 100% transparent, trying to share as much as I can to show others that it's ok to talk. To show others not to be ashamed.

I'm committed to making change to the way mental health is perceived within society, and I'm committed to showing others that talking is strength. I'm hoping my honesty in this interview shows that.
