The cornerstone of a campaign where some candidates claim they're not a team, others admit they are, the group says they're not connected with conspiracy pushing candidates but Voices for Freedom and a range of local astroturf groups says they are. Where they're all about "transparency" but use subtle tricks to mislead the public, and the perennial candidates try their hands yet again to get a seat. And with the lowest voter turnout in the country - who knows what will happen!

Napier City Council may have a short list of red flags but it is the perfect example of the subjective nature of need to haves versus nice to haves that get vilified in every election race around the motu and how that’s something all voters should consider before making their picks.
