John Burtle: It could be anything. John Burtle is a native of California and is now an artist based in Los Angeles. He's involved in numerous collective / collaborative ventures such as Eternal Telethon, KCHUNG Radio, and Citizens Promoting a more Pleasurable Public. He also recently had a solo show at Michael Benevento called Support Constructs.

Elana Mann: She's a real firestarter. Elana Mann is an artist based in Los Angeles. She's in a three person show opening on April 19th at Thomas Solomon curated by John Souza. She has also founded a number of collectives including: the Artists' Bailout Collective, The People's Microphony Camerata, and is part of the collaborative duo, since 2005, Chann & Mann.

Geoff Tuck is a writer and artist, and is the publisher of the online journal, Notes on Looking. He, with his husband David, organizes retreats in Parkfield, CA. He has had two shows recently, Your Shell is Made of Air at the Guggenheim Gallery at Chapman University, and was featured at the launch for the journal baumtest.

Christian Mayer is an artist, musician and publisher from Vienna, Austria. He is here in Los Angeles on an artist's residency, The Schindler Residency at the MAK Center. He has work in a show with the current MAK center residents at the Mackey Apartments. He also recently had a show at the Belvedere in Vienna, Musis et Mulis, which translates to For the Muse and the Mules. He is represented by Galerie Mezzanin in Vienna and Galerie Nagel Draxler in Berlin.

Commonwealth & Council is a gallery at 3006 W. 7th St. #220 in Koreatown, Los Angeles. It has been open since 2010. Recently the show Demolition Woman was at the Guggenheim Gallery at Chapman University in September 2013 and right now you can see the show Akina Cox and The Holy Trinity that's Krista Buecking, Gracie DeVito and Ariane Vielmetter. Commonwealth & Council is a really great gallery, you should check it out!

Gala Porras-Kim is an artist born in Bogotá Colombia. She got her MFA from CalArts in 2009. She recently had an exhibition at Commonwealth & Council, The Mute Object and Ancient Stories of Today, and she'll be showing there again in March 2015.

Kim Calder studies contemporary literature and critical theory at UCLA and holds an MFA in poetry from the University of Maryland College Park. Her work has most recently appeared in the literary journal Unsaid and at Joyland Poetry and is forthcoming in Jacket2.

Amanda Ackerman is the author of four chapbooks: Sin is to Celebration (House Press, co-author), The Seasons Cemented (Hex Press), I Fell in Love with a Monster Truck (Insert Press Parrot), Short Stones (Dancing Girl). She is co-publisher and co-editor of the press eohippus labs. She also writes collaboratively SAM OR SAMANTHA YAMS and UNFO. Her book, The Book of Feral Floral is forthcoming from Les Figues Press.

Jay Erker co-directs Weekend, an artist-run space, and is a Los Angeles based multimedia artist whose recent work focuses on collaborative actions that draw awareness to the possibilities and potentialities inherent in the ordinary workaday, everyday. Underlining each action is the suggestion of our ability to act autonomously within the imposed confines of social, economic, and political structures. This approach can be seen in her recently completed Facebook project, “Invitation to Collaborate: Art Work”, where she collaborated with over 60 friends and guests to complete artworks and performances while at work, all documented on the Facebook event page. She has exhibited and performed at various non-commercial spaces in Los Angeles, San Francisco, St. Louis, New York.

Guru Rugu is a celebrated best-selling self-published self-helper from Los Angeles who has changed the lives of millions with his simple but effective experimental meditations. He has been helping "turn your desperation into inspiration" since 1955 when he helped co-found the Los Angeles Meditation Ghostwriters Guild Local #012, where he still serves as Chief Meditating Officer (CMO) and Intern Coordinator. In 1971, Guru Rugu helped co-found the experimental meditation center of los angeles—which has no center—with artist Adam Overton. Since 2010, Guru Rugu has worked intimately with Signify, Sanctify, Believe, a cute crew of religious technologists and publishing anarchivists hearkening from Los Angeles. He has worked with many other illustrious experimental healers, artists, and writers, including Veranda Moot and Matador Oven. Guru Rugu currently hosts Guru Rugu's Experimental Meditation Hour on KCHUNG Radio AM1630 every 1st Sunday from 10-11pm and archived at http://gururugu.kchungradio.org. He also provides inspirational tweets daily at http://twitter.com/GuruHRugu. Though not formally acknowledged, it is well-known that Guru Rugu was the inspiration behind Matador Oven's provocative and influential tract, A Dabblerist Manifesto.

Allison Carter is the author of A Fixed, Formal Arrangement (Les Figues Press) and Here Vs. She writes and works in Los Angeles, CA.

Alexandra Grant is a text-based artist who uses language and networks of words as the basis for her work in painting, drawing and sculpture. She has been the subject of shows at the Museum of Contemporary Art (Los Angeles), the Contemporary Museum (Baltimore), and galleries in the US and abroad. She currently has an installation at USC's Fisher Museum entitled Century of the Self.

Christina Ondrus is a Los Angeles Artist. In 2010 she was an artist fellow with the Terra Foundation for American Art in Giverny, France. A forthcoming publication entitled "An Invisible Way" will present a documentation of her experiences at that residency. She's had work at Artist Curated Projects, Public Fiction, and Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions. Christina is also the founding director of the artist run initiative KNOWLEDGES.

John P. Hogan is also a Los Angeles artist. Most recently his performance, Song of Yourselves, premiered at Automata Los Angeles. A publication in association with Song of Yourselves is forthcoming from Golden Spike Press this fall. A related written work and series of drawings are available for purchase through Material press as part of their Limited Editions series. Hogan has exhibited and performed at venues including MCASD, Yerba Buena Center, Fritz Haeg's Sundown Salon, MAK Center, and Machine Project. He has written for Art21 and his essay on the work of painter Ben White is included in the forthcoming book Ruin Upon Ruin from Insert Blanc Press.
