Clark Kent calls his mom in the middle of the night and doesn't quite get the advice he was looking for. Lois Lane visits Dr. Jenet Klyburn (Jena Malone), a character who was cut out of the theatrical version. Clark does some research into The Batman and finds some DC easter eggs. Wallace Keefe gets a present from Lex Luthor, and the bat-branded inmate gets shanked in the prison yard.

Great Ceasar's Ghost! It's an all Superman episode! We're joined by Superman superfan Jeff Moriarty to chat about the Man of Steel. We're covering the montage sequence of Superman performing heroic deeds, but does it really feel heroic? Why doesn't Superman seem to be enjoying this?  Do we really need a montage? We compare this Superman to previous versions, including Man of Steel, Superman Returns and the original Richard Donner Superman films.

We have a special guest on this week's episode: Brian Augustyn, writer and editor at DC Comics in the 80's and 90's. Augustyn wrote the seminal graphic novel and first "Elseworlds" tale Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, and co-wrote Justice League:Year One and The Flash with Mark Waid. We're talking about the party scene at Lex Luthor's house, which includes the first appearance of Diana Prince, aka Wonder Woman. Even though the show hosts didn't like Batman v Superman overall, we really did enjoy this scene where all of the major players are in the same room. We also get waaaay off topic talking about some of Brian Augustyn's experiences at DC, including an amazing anecdote featuring Mark Hamill. If you're a fan of 90's DC Comics you're going to love this episode.

In this episode Chris and Dennis follow Bruce Wayne to an underground fight club. What's that? We're not supposed to talk about fight club? Sorry. We didn't know the rules... Then we head to Daily Planet, where Perry White is being a jerk to Clark Kent because Clark thinks the paper should do some actual journalism. Senator Finch pays a visit to Lex Luthor, who is getting philosophical and vaguely threatening. Then we take a trip into Bruce's mind during a dream sequence, where he finds darkness and no parents.
