Best Picture winner "Cimarron" bills itself as "terrific as all creation." The western film spans decades of settling of Osage, Oklahoma and is many things, "terrific" being a stretch.
That could describe the biggest hit of the year, "City Lights." Charlie Chaplin's silent masterpiece remains timeless more than 85 years later.
