"When you eat of it, you will be like God..." This temptation is often viewed through the lens of pride - Eve desires to ascend her station as a creature. While pride is certainly the root of sin, so much of the Christian life is the call to "be like God." So what exactly is wrong then about Eve wanting to "be like God"? Perhaps the temptation in the garden should not center as much around "what" Eve did, but rather but "when" she did it. Perhaps Eve, like all of us, needed to wait for God as the giver of good gifts.

In this session we will explore how so much of the temptation that our children face when growing up is not simply an issue of what they do, but rather when they do it. We will talk about how so many of the good gifts that God gives us are gifts for which we have to wait. Using the lens of sex and pornography we will discuss how we can come alongside our children as we teach them to wait for the good things that God has for them.
