On the morning of 27th April 2014, Lau Kunyu was spotted on CCTV going up the elevator to the apartment he shared with his girlfriend, before seemingly disappearing into thin air. Lau's father would report his missing son a few days later, and Lau's distraught girlfriend, Huang Jingwen, would be brought in for questioning. 

Police initially struggled as barely any clues or physical evidence were found at the scene, but eventually, they efforts would lead to the unravelling of a crime planned meticulously, fastidiously, and almost without fault - the Perfectionist's Murder.
