On today's show Emma and Jacs are joined by Professor Louise Burke, Chair of Sports Nutrition at Mary MacKillop Institute for Health Research at Australian Catholic University in Melbourne. Louise is a sports dietitian with 45 years of experience in the research, education and counselling of elite athletes. She worked as Head of Sports Nutrition at the Australian Institute of Sport for thirty years and attended 6 Summer Olympic Games with the Australian Olympic Team (1996-2012 and 2021). She was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in 2009 for her contribution to sports nutrition. Louise gives us an update on changes in sport nutrition.
Olympic gold medallist Sally Pearson is one of just nine Australian women ever to win an Olympic track and field gold medal combining a near-flawless technique with incredible resilience to overcome multiple injury obstacles during her glittering 100m hurdles career.
