Melissa and I have known each other so long, we can't even remember how we met!
This week, Melissa Howard and I discuss what it’s like to be a person in the military, the spouse of person in the military, a parent and bonus parent, and be told you can either be separated from your spouse or be assigned together in Europe, which is how Melissa is coming to us this week from Germany!
We chat about how Melissa got into military service, the sacrifices she and all of her family members have made, and how she keeps herself sane.
Which led us to discussing her new travel blog, The Traveling Tumbleweed! (See show notes for links!) Y’all will have to excuse me during part of this episode where I conflate three different trips of hers so badly, even she can’t help me piece it together. And she was there!
She also asked me to mention she didn’t go into nearly enough detail about how dang hard all of it it, so I guess I need to have her back on the show again soon for that and updates on her travels!
