Jesus Christ is the perfect image of God. He has divine characteristics and is superior to angels. On earth Jesus used divine power to heal and perform miracles. This led His disciples to accept His divinity and Messianic position. As God, He has authority over the earth. Jesus was human, too. Many of His experiences were similar to those you and I have today. He suffered and was tempted. Though He never yielded, this allows Him to understand when you and I are tempted. When we fail, He is willing to forgive if we ask. Jesus' unity with believers is shown by His willingness to consider us His brothers.
