In this 2 part episode of Open Mic, in the first half of the program, we talk about finding comfort as it pertains to mental health. 

Joining Mike are two special returning guests Allan and Bonnie Gallant. They are the founders of Agora Network Ministries. On July 7th, 2017 in a split second Allan’s life changed when he suffered a severe stroke, but God protected his body.  The only paralysis Allan suffered was in his speech. After a month of recovery and learning to speak again, Allan began the hardest battle of his life.  A battle with mental health; PTSD, severe anxiety, and depression.   From this crisis, AGORA Network Ministries was birthed and a new journey began in ministry for Bonnie and Allan.  A ministry that desires to come alongside the church; the pastor, the Christian leader, and the congregation to the mental health crisis and stigma we face in our societies and churches.

Many ask - "Why does a good God want any of his creation to perish?" For those who accept hell is a reality - they ask - "Why is it forever and is it true?" It's a serious subject we don't like to talk about it because of the consequences. At a funeral there is always sadness but there can be joy and tears or no joy. The joy comes when we know a person who has trusted in Christ.  We unpack heaven and how we can be sure we will go to heaven. Why do we need a savior? One of the consequences of sin is hell. Many are not sure about their final destination and in this episode we talk about it.

The road was long and hard at times but God’s goodness led to repentance and the ongoing restoration of his soul.
