Fran (no longer ill and full of life) forces Pete to watch 'Couples Retreat' (2009), Pete forces Fran to watch 'A Ghost Story' (2014) as a punishment.

Fran argues that 'A Ghost Story' is pretentious nonsense. Pete argues that 'Couples Retreat' is lazy, unfunny garbage. Listen to us dissect these two fine pieces of cinema!

Fran has a cold so sadly things are a little low energy this week but she bravely soldiers on.

We have had to postpone our "You Hate It, I Love It" episode until next week so instead we do a longer review of Captain Marvel. We also take a few diversions into the merits of cats and dogs, the prospect of Canine v Feline civil war and the prospect of feeding a tall person.

Pete and Fran have themselves some delicious wine and view "On the Basis of Sex" and "Fighting with my Family".

As well as enjoying both fine films we discuss the controversy surrounding gender at the moment and the hate being poured on Captain Marvel as well as professional wrestling!

Fran and Pete each pick a film they love that the other will hate.

Fran forces Pete to endure "The Longest Ride" (2015) and Pete forces Fran to watch the Zucker classic "Top Secret" (1984). Naturally they both enjoy their choices while the other is not so keen.

We pick apart these two movies and discuss why we enjoy them or not and have a few drinks and a lot of laughs along the way.

Fran has finally returned! Pete is indignant and delighted. We have ourselves a few drinks and watch Fran's favourite movie of all time: Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

We explore this excellent "Goodbad" movie at length discussing it's many merits and handful of flaws, from Costner's performance to odd geography.

At the end we also offer a brief review of Alita: Battle Angel as frankly, a brief review is all it deserves!
