Recently I did an emotional scene for a movie. By that I mean, I had to cry. It was the first time for me. Upon reflecting on that process, it made me realize some things: Do we allow ourselves to feel our emotions? How do we get to practice feeling these emotions? Happy New Year 2022! This past holiday was spent in quarantine due to Covid. Pretty sure it was the Omicron variant. After coming across Joe Rogan on the Breaking Points podcast talking about how the constructs of the film/entertainment industry effect people's behaviors and interactions, I felt encouraged even compelled to share my own experiences working in the film industry in China and Hollywood. After many years have past, looking back at the choices I made, and how today I would choose to make different choices for the sake of my mental health.

For the past couple of weeks I found myself visiting doctors and in the ER due to stress and anxiety. I wanted to take sometime to share with you what happened, what I've learned about it and from others, in case any of you ever have to go through it.

Celebrations have become important to me. In fact, it's something I try to incorporate daily if not weekly. This past Saturday May 8, 2021 I celebrated my 42nd birthday doing the things I love with those I love.

Thought I'd share with you some of the details of how it was spent.
