Restream recording Sep 18, 2025 • 11:10:19 AM: [00:00:00] In The Pickle Palz Podcast with our host Adam Mendelsohn. How are you doing today, Adam? It's like crazy to think about how continued since we first did the first interview, then launched the podcast, the growth of Pickle Palz. It's been incredible. Thank you. I'm doing great. I'm actually, joining you from Jerusalem today.
I am moved here two weeks ago to go to school here and strengthen my education. And since then actually we've released Pickle Palz in Israel and also in Canada because we people from Canada reaching out saying they wanted to get involved. But yeah, there's been a lot of growth. We have over 600 users, active users now.
And our shop is fully up and functional. We have our athletic shirts, our shirts, our hats, our stickers. We're gonna have skirts soon. And we actually hired a general manager who is based in Gainesville. She is incredible. Her name's Olivia Ryback. She's. The, she runs all the social media for uf, University of Florida's pickleball team, and she is now working and doing all the stuff I do in the states while I [00:01:00] work on expanding here in Israel.
That's fantastic. 'cause it's like you're putting together this team and the team keeps growing from the beginning. It's, I feel great. Yeah, growing a lot. We have people reaching out. We're actually we just signed a partnership with a company called 44 Pickleball. They make custom pickleball paddles and they've been absolutely incredible.
But that's a brand new partnership that we just started. There are, our paddle company that we're gonna have our logos, cool designs, and it's been great. We've actually been in contact with the University of Central Florida. The Florida State University university of North Florida and just a bunch of other colleges across Florida and we're actually hoping to expand out across the United States.
And from there, once our tournaments are finalized with our duper integration, we're gonna have collegiate matches, tournaments, all that. It's gonna be great linked right to duper easy efficient, and just connecting pickleball players around the us. So your goal, first of all, is to get college kids to be using this app, all different communities, different [00:02:00] tournaments, and then go to the individuals after that fact.
You were talking about that. Correct. Yeah, so college, we're trying to get colleges on the app for now to get brand awareness. And then from there, once our tournaments and duper and everything is integrated, it's taking a little bit of time 'cause we want it to be perfect. We're gonna have all those tournaments set up and then eventually we'll do individual ambassadors.
We'll have college students, high school students, people that love the sport, that wanna, have someone sponsor them. We'll go out there and we'll partner with people to help. Build them up. Just the way I'm hoping to connect and bring the whole pickleball community together. So let's go into specifically the life of an entrepreneur in Israel and how you're dealing with it.
Yeah. How are you dealing with it on a daily basis, especially with time zone differences? It's, right now it's 7:00 AM my time recording. And what time is it for you in Israel? Yeah, it's two, two o'clock in the afternoon. Two. Yeah. So you're dealing with time zones, you're ti dealing with different things, so explain what yeah.
So it definitely has been challenging. I go to a yeshiva called De Torah Study School. It's for Jewish students and I [00:03:00] came here to work on myself and become stronger both mentally and physically. And so I've been trying to find that balance between being an entrepreneur and also focusing on myself.
