It's the end of the 2021 NFL season as the Los Angeles Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20 in Super Bowl LVI. It's also the end of the Pigskin Party Podcast as Brian, Will and Tommy join producer Anthony to recap all the action from SB 56 and say farewell to the PPP. It's been one hell of a ride and we are forever grateful for the listeners who tuned in to hear a bunch of amateur NFL guys and their shenanigans. As we sign off, we thank you for being here and we'll see you again some time, on the PPP.
Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/pigskinpartypodcast)It's all come down to this. It started with 32 teams and now it's down to 2. To preview Super Bowl 56 between the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams, it's just Brian and producer Anthony. No frills or special segments, just two guys discussing the big game. Anthony makes the case for why the Rams and QB Matthew Stafford will win while Brian makes the case for Smokin' Joe Burrow and the Bengals. There will be debate, random nuggets and fun facts followed by game picks. There's even a brief Palate Cleanser discussing game day snacks. Enjoy Super Bowl Sunday everyone!
It's just Brian and Will this week as Tommy is in the concussion protocol. The guys start off by breaking down the news that Tom Brady finally retires (twice) after 22 NFL seasons and 7 Super Bowl rings. Then they discuss the news that former Dolphins' coach Brian Flores sues the NFL along with the Giants, Broncos and Dolphins over allegations of racial discrimination in their hiring practices. Finally, they recap the AFC and NFC Championship games and give their initial thoughts about the SB 56 matchup between the Rams and Bengals. No Flavor of the Week this week so stay tuned for our Super Bowl special and 2021 Fantasy Recap next week!
It's Conference Championship Weekend in the NFL and it's just Brian and Tommy again to preview the games and make their picks for who will make it to the Super Bowl. No Palate Cleanser this week as the guys just jump straight into the football talk. Who will win between Kansas City Chiefs vs Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams vs San Francisco 49ers? Listen in to hear a deep breakdown of the games as well we predictions!
It's just Brian and Tommy this week as the two hosts get to discuss what was perhaps the greatest display of football in NFL history. Brian has control of the sound board with Anthony out and the news that Head Coach Sean Payton is stepping away from the Saints apparently gets Tommy all wound up. The energy is high as the guys just have a good, old-fashioned football discussion of everything they saw during the NFL Divisional Round of the playoffs, including maybe the best game ever in Bills vs Chiefs.
With a juicy slate of NFL playoff games on deck for the Divisional Round, Brian, Will and Tommy bring on repeat guest, Jeff Schiesser (Co-host of The Year We Started A Podcast), to help break down and pick the upcoming games. Can Jeff make up the picks difference for the guests? First, the guys get back to their MCU ways for this week's Palate Cleanser as they discuss Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Brian, Will and Tommy recap what was essentially a weekend of mismatches from the first round of the NFL playoffs. Of the six teams that won, none of them trailed at all during the second half. Still, we saw some historical performances and the guys are here to break down what it all means leading into the Divisional Round.
