Happy Halloween, Bootiful Listeners!!!

Today's episode is commentary about the 2012 film: Red Lights. Starring, Sigourney Weaver, Cillian Murphy and Robert DeNiro.

It's a film I recommend for this time of year, especially for those who want to watch something spooky but not gorey or too scary.

Hope you enjoy this episode and if you do, please leave me a treat of 5 stars wherever you listen to this podcast.

Also, please be advised that any opinions expressed on this podcast are strictly my own, and it's not professional advice, always consult with your family physician for medical care.

Take care,

Hello Beatiful Listeners!

Welcome back to another episode of random anecdotes! This episode is a celebration of life and celebrating the end of my studies - for now.

I hope you are doing well and I hope you enjoy this episode.

Also, just a heads up, my anecdotal experience with a beautiful butterfly has a sad ending. However, this true story was too beautiful to not share with the world. In Nawat, I titled my story as "Nuchaku Papalutchin" (My Friend, Little Butterfly)

If you are new to this podcast, please remember that ASMR or quiet entertainment does not replace any medical therapy or advice.

“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -
And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -
I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.

Hello Beautiful Listeners,

No, I am not saying goodbye and least of all in such a rude way, no way! This episode's title is a line said in the 2004 film, Closer by the character, Alice, played by Natalie Portman.

I discuss why the phrase scared me and  scarred me for life. I also realize that many people don't understand the depth of the phrase - I used to be one of them, but thankfully a friend of mine explained to me the meaning of that scene. Also, I talk about the film, Closer, and the character "Alice" played by Natalie Portman.

Jude Law, Julia Roberts and Clive Owen star in this film, which was directed by Mich Nichols.

It's a great film, highly recommend because it's a cautionary tale. Take care of the people you love, and try your best to be the best version of yourself.

I hope you like this episode.

Take care everyone! And remember, this episode is just my opinion, it is not professional advice and it does not replace medical therapy. It is simply quiet entertainment.

Somni Rosae

**P.S. If you are listening to this episode again and notice it's different, it's because I uploaded a new version of it. After listening to the original version, I experienced the cringe  factor and decided to upload a new version**

Hello everybody!!

In today's episode I share a story written by ChatGPT / Open AI. However...*ahem* I do want to add that I gave AI the idea, so basically, it was a collaboration. Hehehehe

Due to the wildfires (shout out to all the brave firefighters looking after us!) my voice is a little off on this episode so in order to minimize the voice cracks, I added a reverb effect on the portion of the story. Let me know if you liked this effect, I think it sounds very ASMR, no?

I guess that's it for now, and as always, you can connect with me on any of my social media platforms under the handle: @somnirosae or send me an email at [email protected]

Oh and a friendly reminder that this podcast is quiet entertainment, it does not replace medical therapy. Please, always consult with your doctor.

Take care everyone, and please stay extra safe!

Much love,
Somni Rosae

**PS**

Please remember to leave me a five star review wherever possible

Hello Beautiful Listeners,

On today's episode we get to talk about makeup, I read your comments answering the question "What was your first lipstick?", and I get to read you a story written by ChatGPT / OpenAI

Also, all opinions expressed on this podcast are strictly my own. The podcast is ASMR and quiet entertainment and it does not replace any medical therapy, and I cannot confirm that all the info provided by ChatGPT is 100% accurate.

Also, I apologize that my voice is a bit off, but my throat is still bothering me a bit.

Take care,

Hello Beautiful Listeners!!

My apologies for being away last weekend, I wasn't able to finish this episode on time. You might notice that my voice is a bit off and that's because of the smoke that we've being experiencing due to the wildfires, which really affected my throat. I'll talk more about this on another episode - maybe next week.

For anyone else being affected by these wildfires, I hope you're safe and healthy.

Thank you to those of you who reached out to check up on me.

Today's final installment of my return to "The Pink Moon Podcast" I share with you a story that I wrote based on a Nawa legend, "The Takwatzin" (the opposum). As I mentioned in the episode, it's a very old story that was told to my class by our Nawat teacher, Hector Martinez from "Timumachtikan Nawat", and I just took creative liberties to create my own version of the story.

I hope you enjoy this episode, and thank you so much for giving me a chance to share with you my culture and my maternal language.  May the Nawat culture and langugae continue to flourish.

Much love,
Somni

—————  —————   ———
NAWAT & VOCABULARY
—————  —————   ———

Nahuatl: Mexican variant
Nawat or Nahuat: Witzapan variant in El Salvador

Nantzin: Wise elder woman - highly revered
Takwatzin:  Opposum / Little revered eater
Ejekat: The name of the wind / air
Kukumutzin: Pupusa (Salvadoran national dish)
Ucelut: Ocelot (native feline of the Americas)
Mistun: Cat
Pelu: Dog

The song: Kan kalaki tunal, tuteku, tuteku, nechkukua, nechkukua
When the sun sets, our father, our  father, it hurts me, it hurts me

Atnawa: The Water Nawa (I should not have used the word "Nawa" interchangeably with "Atnawa"), because the current Nawa people of today do not use that name. The name "Atnawa" was another name they had, or it was another community - I am not sure if the whole story, so please forgive me for not making that correction on the audio.

I also forgot to mention that the Nawa culture does not have gods, they were called "Lords" or "Ladies", more or less a different type of entities - not humans. The Nawa have believed in  one God, or Creator, but it's not a culture that believes in gods.

One more thing, I had to re-record some sections of the episode but my throat was really dry.
