This week we are honored to have Ultra4 and Mid America Outdoors very own Pam Hall on the show with us! It's been a long gloomy week out here in Colorado with the snow and the rain and broken down washing machines and no racing for us, so it was a real pleasure to get to sit down with Pam and hear a little bit about her racing career. Not only is she the co host with our ole buddy Miles at Ultra4 and MAO, but she's also a racer herself, and happens to be a racer mom too! And potentially a future member of the Ultra4 Grom Gang???
Well first of all... what an awesome open segment on this week's show! You will be entertained, that's a promise! We have a big announcement this week from Rocky Mountain Speed and Fab, we hear about Hopper's 'interesting' week, and then we got to hang out with Zandy Willems from Rufus Racing! A lot of folks have heard of Rufus Racing, a two car team that runs in Ultra4's Unlimited 4400 Class. Well this week we got the opportunity to learn a little more about the team, how they started, and what these crazy Texans are planning next!
Paul Wolff is a wheelman, it doesn't matter if he's driving an Ultra4 4400 Unlimited car or a scrap yard Samurai! Hear what makes the unlimited winner of the AREA BFE Beatdown want to go faster and how he got to where he is now. And just for the record, this episode would have been twice as long if we had kept recording! We had a great time hanging out with him and can't wait to hang with him and his crew at the races! Oh and we recorded a pretty awesome open segment too this week! A few announcements, and a couple of funny stories you won't want to miss!
We say it every week, but wow, what an awesome time we had recording this weeks episode! First off we get to hear about Hopper's adventures from the Ultra4 Area BFE Beatdown! And then somehow we got one of the most badass guys around, an actual King of the Hammers OG13 member and the current race director for the Ultra4 Series, JT Taylor, to sit down with us! This guy has done some pretty badass stuff in his life, and he's got the badass mustache to back it up! He's a true hero, and one of the hardest workers in off roading, so tune in and hear a little bit about his story.
Buckle up, we have a smoking hot open segment and some of the funniest guest to date! Erin and Griz, with Yellowstone Offroad Racing, are true grassroots racers and promotors. And they live in South Canada (Montana)! These folks know how to throw a party and a race! We can't wait to hang with them again in June!!!
When we reached out to Justin Reece about coming on the show, he said he was all in, but only if he could bring a few of his team members from Rusty Nail Racing on the show with him. We said hell yeah, we love the idea. That right there should tell you what kind of guy Justin is and how his team operates. They run an awesome organization, but they're even better people and we're super excited to get to share a small part of their story with the world. These are the kind of people you want to hang around with, whether you're at the races or just out wheeling for fun!
We live in a different world this week then we did last week! Ultra4 has got new owners!!! We were fortunate enough to get part of that new management on the show this week in Joey Beck! Joey comes from Pro Rock Racing and is a part of the leadership at Mid America Outdoors of Jay, OK and he shares a little bit about where MOA and Ultra4 are headed! Needless to say, we're excited! Oh and he's a proud member of the Grom Gang as well!
This week we have the pleasure of having 2 guests! Thats right folks! My favorite little buddy, Parker, joins Hopper and I during our open segment and bestows some 6-year-old wisdom on us, and then we dial up our good buddy Bobby Lindgren. What a ham session it was! As always, we hope you enjoy!!!
What if we told you that we knew a couple of knuckleheads that only had 20 minutes of seat time in a UTV and then decided to race the hardest one day off road race in America? You should call them crazy for sure! But these guys did it, and they did it good too! Rich and Seth went from being off road rock crawling buddies to spending 10 days together in a race car and a small camper, along with a few other firsts too and forging a bond of brotherhood along the way. Plus Hopper complains about Walmart and Zach try's a new kind of candy with his monster!
Wow. There's not much else we can say about this weeks guest, the current back to back winner of the King of the Hammers UTV race, Kyle Chaney. This guy is going to change the landscape of King of the Hammers! We get a small glimpse into where he got his start, what gives him his drive, and where he wants to go. Goosebumps people, that's what we got out of this episode!!!
