The Pitching Command Show with guest Peter Gammons, hall of fame sports writer.
With everyone throwing hard nowadays, command is now the separator. It’s no longer a choice between being either a power pitcher or a finesse pitcher today. You need to be both, velocity with command. Command is what separates pitchers from the pack today.
Peter began his journalism career at the Boston Globe where he covered the Red Sox for most of the 1970s and 1980s.
He was also a lead baseball columnist for Sports Illustrated, as well as writing a column for Sporting News. Peter then joined ESPN as a baseball analyst in 1988 and appeared regularly on Baseball Tonight and also made appearances on SportsCenter. In 2009, he left ESPN and joined the MLB Network.
Peter was voted the National Sportswriter of the Year three times by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.
