It’s the finale of the Pitlane Punters this week.

We attempt to gather our thoughts after one of the most wild, bizarre, and entertaining Supercars race weekends in a long time at the VAILO Adelaide 500.

Though Will Brown claimed the title on Saturday, all bets were off on Sunday, as the streets of Adelaide resembled something more of an automotive all-in street brawl.

There were crashes aplenty at the notorious Turn 8, whilst two stars of the future got an early look at their new rides for 2025 in strange circumstances.

We also look at friend of the show Zach Bates' incredible weekend in Super2, where he became the fourth member of the family to win a national motorsport championship, and the first on tarmac.

It was quiet week on Australian race circuits, but there's still plenty of news in Supercars.

There's big changes coming for Super2, Dick Johnson Racing, and several enduro line-ups for 2025, whilst Zach Bates will get the chance of a lifetime with Triple Eight's wildcard alongside Craig Lowndes in 2025.

A wet and wild Brazilian Grand Prix saw Max Verstappen claim a sensational win to all but wrap up his fourth straight world title.

Meanwhile Lando Norris' hopes were washed away in a Sao Paulo downpour, amid more McLaren team orders controversy.

There was also radio controversy in the NASCAR Cup Series, as Chevrolet and Toyota teams were both found guilty of race manipulation in the Round of 8 finale at Martinsville.

All of that overshadowed a brilliant Shane van Gisbergen performance, with the Kiwi claiming his best oval result in the Cup Series.
