There's over 300,000 edible plants on this planet, we only consume roughly 200 of them.
That means we're missing out on the healing potential and power of over 299,800 plants.
That's a lot of power.
Insert Susan Horning, Herbal Therapist, Yoga Instructor, and lover of all things plants.
Susan has been working with herbs for many years and is a clinically trained herbal therapist, yoga teacher, and traditional Thai masseuse. She aims to support her clients with a holistic approach, honouring the unique needs of their individual constitution and the diversity of people and plants.
Susan has completed a 4-year clinical program in Herbal Therapy as well as the Chartered Herbalist program at Vancouver’s Dominion Herbal College, the oldest herbal medicine school in North America. Her training also includes Intermediate level Herbal Medicine with the Wild Seed School on Salt Spring Island. On this episode of the show, Sue and I chat about the benefits of herbs for gut health, anxiety, stress, and hypochlorhydria (among other things), why your constitution matters, what the heck mucilaginous plants are, why bitter herbs matter, and how to utilize herbs in your everyday life to better your overall health.
This is a juicy episode with some funny banter that you won't want to miss!
