The Platformers: A Video Game (and Nerd Culture) Podcast

This week the gents get in deep about Horizon, baseball, and whether or not any of them are actually good gamers! There are plenty of topics to go around, and we watch our hype levels rise with some exciting reveals about the Nintendo Switch! Buckle up, ladies and gents!

This week, Brian gets up to his elbows in Nioh talk, he gets flustered and makes up a bunch of words, and we spend JUST ENOUGH time talking about Pirates of the Caribbean. Also, TONS of movie talk.

This week, we talk about Nioh, the game that EVERYBODY seems to be talking about, for good reason! Also, some shenanigans involving a wink between the boys sets tensions at an all time high in the best way possible. Has Brian had a change of heart about the Nintendo Switch? Also, on a more serious and sad note, Chris' close friend passed away this week, and so this episode is dedicated to the memory of Tayler Bitzer.

This week Brian, Chris, and Marty talk about what they have been playing, and then jump right in and dissect the Nintendo Switch reveal event and discuss everything about Nintendo's new console/handheld hybrid. The boys get heated about what they like, what they think could be better, and the future of Nintendo.

This week Brian "Coughy McSyrup" Barnett, Chris "Buffy Anxiety" Shriver, and "Martaine Champaign Montagne Fontaine Gwalatzi" talk about the leaked upcoming Nintendo Switch line-up, including our favorite franchise "PLATZHALTER", and get bogged down in some serious metal/food/card games tangent inception malarkey, so STRAP IN, FOLKS!

IT'S 2017, and the boys are back in action! Brian "Ancient Watcher" Barnett, Chris "Sleepy Time Boy" Shriver, and Martin "Certified Sasquatch" Gualazzi start the New Year off right by forgetting the names of the main characters in Gears Of War 4, how Chris is now alone in his fear of Dark Souls, and how we record separately to keep Marty from eating us! This is another crazy one, so strap in!

This week each of the boys discuss their personal picks for Game Of The Year, and then get together to crown a king of 2016!
