"And sadly he just got married to his, I believe, high school sweetheart just four or five days ago. They have a seven month old and two other children. Really, really just the stuff of nightmares. Very sobering reminder to us all of the danger of cars in general. Just please be safe when you're driving. And also just life is fragile."

"And all these guys, if they stuck around for four years, they were 22, 23 year old men, they had men bodies, they had the experience and playing at a high level so they could come in and help a team right away. And you're not seeing that as much anymore. You're seeing kids that may have one year of experience in college, but they're 18, 19, so. And then you have a plethora of international players that I know nothing about."

"And as their bodies are developing, they are playing the same sport year round and taxing those bodies that are trying to develop, and you're just taxing those same muscle groups. And there was a study done by the Cleveland Clinic that stated just that. And I was, when I coached youth sports, I was very quick to say, do something else. Do not do one sport year round."

"Well, Oklahoma City is the NBA champions. And I thought the game was kind of anti climatic last night. I was so looking forward to this game. And then once that injury happened at Tyrese Halliburton in the second quarter, the air out of the room just got let out. And even though they kept it close for a while and even had a lead at halftime, I just never got the feeling that they were in a position to win without Halliburton. Especially when you consider that."

"That tells you that they are good at overcoming adversity, that they can actually overcome the challenges that are produced on the court. But looking at Game six, if there's anything we can take away, there was very poor shooting, especially three point shooting from Oklahoma City. That's going to be something to watch for in Game 7. Were they not shooting well because it's a road game? Did the crowd get to them or are they nervous? Do they get nervy?"

"I don't know that TJ McConnell is going to be effective for an entire game. He seems to be that off speed kind of pitcher, come in and give them quick bursts and he's done that fantastically, I might add, in this series and in other series. But this series especially his little burst of energy has really."

But given the problems that Boston has had this year with Devers, they wanted him to move to DH from third base and then they wanted, when they had injuries, they wanted him to move to first base and he declined and it became kind of a public spat."

"It is just kind of going hand in hand. Just a beautiful complex that they play in a beautiful field. And the thing that I love the most about the College World Series is that it's double elimination. I can't think of another sport that does it this way. So it is unique. And having played baseball, I really love double elimination. You know, you could have an off night and still come back and win it."
