This week, Peter and I prepare to go to war with the Pocket Gamer and AppSpy community.

Don't worry - it's one of those pretend wars where no one gets hurt, and all the ammo is composed of ones and zeros.

You see, World of Tank: Blitz came out this week. And, at the time of recording, we were 24-hours away from standing alongside our community brothers and sisters on the virtual field of battle.

As you might have noticed, Pocket Gamer was in Helsinki this week hosting the Pocket Gamer Connects mobile gaming conference.

It's pretty rare for the PG Podcast hosts to be in the same postcode, let alone the same building, so we decided it would be the perfect time to record an extended podcast special.

In attendance are familiar voices, long forgotten hosts, Pocket Gamer editors, and someone completely new to the show. You'll also hear about some of our favourite mobile games, and hear the story behind our very first contact with this wonderful pastime of ours.

With Peter out of the office, I invite Pocket Gamer reviews editor Harry and social media wizard Danny to help me wade through the weekly flood of mobile gaming news.

First off, we discuss the upcoming Ratchet & Clank HD Trilogy, and wonder where developer Insomniac gets the inspiration for the games' filthy subtitles.

We also investigate the newly announced Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, and ask why WWII strategy game Frontline: A Road to Moscow is being removed from certain App Stores.

You even might go so far as to call her a 'proper guest'. There's a first time for everything, I suppose.

The newcomer in question is Alysia Judge, who is a writer for online tech publication IT Pro Portal, and general gaming enthusiast.

This week, Peter, Harry, and I take Nintendo to task for the way it has handled the same sex relationship "glitch" in upcoming 3DS sim Tomodachi Life.

Group scolding delivered, Peter talks about his experience with Rovio's latest project RETRY, and I share the newest details regarding the plot of Telltale's upcoming adventure Tales from the Borderlands.

This week, Peter, Harry, and I dive back into the Twitch stream to talk about super frogs, space milk, and glowing mushrooms.
