It’s storytime! This week we listened to a sci-fi podcast called Steal the Stars. There’s love, there’s aliens, there’s action, and there’s Nick with the hiccups. This one was fun and we both finished the full podcast series...so it must be good! Well it was good enough to get a 9/10 from us, can’t wait to hear what you think!

In true minimalist fashion, let’s keep this brief. This week we reviewed a Lifestyle and Health Podcast called The Minimalists Podcast. Maybe you’ve seen the Netflix documentary? Maybe you read their book? Well, obviously we chose the podcast and Nick gives some great advice. You won’t want to miss that. Check it out!

This might be the best example of how much our interests differ when it comes to podcasts. Nick HATED this podcast and Emily LOVED it. We listened to Nicole Byer’s, Why Won’t You Date Me? - and we talked dating, being obnoxious, taking breaks, and ghosting. This episode was recorded on International Podcast Day! We finished a full season of listening and reviewing podcasts from 10 different genres! We also had a bonus episode with some special guests! It was a great first season and we wanted to close it out with a recap. Before we kick off season two, let’s talk about some of our favorites from season one and do some reflecting on our own podcast. After a season full of trying out some old podcasts and favorites - we HAD to finish the season with this long anticipated podcast. This might be the highest rated coffee and podcast combination ever. We were throwing 9’s and 10’s around like confetti. It’s The Adventure Zone! Forget everything you think you hate about being a nerd, because we embrace it and love it and after this episode, you will too.

We recorded early this morning! - very early. We were tired, but fueled by some amazing 8-rated coffees. Today we went for a history lesson, but mostly just talked about funny comedy bits and more ways that we hate ads. From the Education genre, we listened to The Dollop. Just like our coffees, this podcast landed an 8 rating. It is funny, informative, and has enough variety to keep us both interested! Did you know that P.T. Barnum was just a straight up liar? Now you do.

We did something a little different this week because we were together in the same room! So, we took the opportunity to podcast in person. We were in person because we were at a “Sip and See” - listen to the epsiode to hear more about that.. Anyway, we listened to a magical podcast in the Arts and Entertainment genre called Potterless. This podcast was fun and finished strong at 9/10 rating. We talk about the unrealistic world of Quidditch and reminisce on our vacation to Harry Potter World! Enjoy!

After a LONG break, we are back in action! This week we listened to Louder with Crowder from the News and Politics genre. We discussed all of the important topics - including Pop Tarts being Ravioli and how we can agree to disagree when it comes to politics. Overall, we didn’t love what we listened too - maybe it was not our genre, maybe our coffee wasn’t strong enough, but with under a 5 rating, we were not in love.
