Focusing in on their implementation of Student Advisor Link from Salesforce.org, they have created an amazing student experience in their one-stop and created a stakeholder network on campus. This was a fun one with lots of information to share from an institution excelling in enterprise Salesforce and Advising!

    • S1E6 - "Army of Unicorns" with Carrie Marcinkevage, Penn State University
      This episode takes us to Happy Valley, Pennsylvania where we interviewed Carrie Marcinkevage from Penn State University. Working on a shared vision for CRM, they have seen great success in the Smeal College of Business. Carrie told us about her PhD candidacy and topics she is studying; her dissertation will be on CRM Critical Success Factors in Higher Education. We learned about success factors in other industries and ethics in data collection and usage. It was also shared that she has an "army of unicorns" now after using this as their mascot for their CRM efforts.

    • S1E5 - "Enterprise Technical Aptitude" with Chris Tompkins, Indiana University
      In this episode, we talked inception at IU and then focused on team structure and capabilities. With 15 team members, Chris outlines the governance and prioritization that keeps them successful and nimble as they stretch across the enterprise at IU. He breaks down their staff into squads, tells us what he looks for in new staff (a clue is in our title) and answered many community questions. In our ending sequence, we talked about "seeking the golden apple." This was a fun one; we'll definitely have Chris back to talk more about the IU Convergence Cloud.

    • S1E4 - "One Stop Pop-up" with Brian Karcinski, University of Florida and Carrie Otto, University of Minnesota
      "A Gator, a Gopher, a Sun Devil and Spartan walk into a bar..."
      In our fourth episode, we welcomed two Higher Education Advisory Council members, Brian and Carrie. With a large public focus, we were able to talk about size and scale and the complexities that come with each of our campuses. Both schools have a long history with Salesforce, so we took a trip back to the inception of Salesforce and what it looks like today. We ended with a deep dive into their One Stop Shops and learn more about what is on their roadmap.
