  • Podcast Launch Lessons From Radio
As Podcasters, we can learn from Radio.  The good and the bad.
Why compare a Radio station new format launch to a Podcaster Episode 0 launch?  Because we as Podcasters do a better job at it, and we need to recognize that we do. Whatever we do, as long as we do something. And not do what Radio does.
Here's a video example of a recent format launch in Huntsville, Tennessee...

Yeah, if that was a Podcast launch, well, you know what the download numbers would look like.  Prepare, be prepared and launch your Podcast!

  • Aircheck Your Podcast
Without naming names, I have heard so many podcasts that need a third-party, un-objective pair of ears to critique their podcast. Here are some examples of what I heard on a recent episode of ******* Podcast.
Circle270Media Podcast Consultants offers podcast content critique for all of our clients. Our podcast partners benefit from this feedback, and have felt that this service has made them, and their podcast, a better marketing tool for their business. Have some questions on how this works? • Content Experience Becomes Word of Mouth
Content is everything for a podcast. And for a B2B podcaster, creating content, or story, is the best way to help your listeners tell stories about your business. Shareable content and call to action, two major goals accomplished with great content becoming word of mouth.

  • Pet Peeves As a Podcast Listener
Podcasters take a different view, or listen as it were, to podcasts. Or do we? Is out listener experience much different than that of a non-podcast producer? Here are some pet peeves I ran across listed by podcasters. If these are pet peeves for podcasters, they could very well be for your podcast listeners as well.

  • Podcasts Vlogs Blogs
A big thanks to Mike Rudd of Hutchison Media and Marketing Fun with Mike for asking me to be a guest speaker at the August Marketing Mastery Club. The club meets monthly, and this month he covered for the group blogs, vlogs, and podcasting.
One important takeaway I felt is worth noting is the similarities all three mediums have with each other. I think Amy Landino covered it well in her vlog Mike presented.
    1) If you are going to put all this work into your blog/vlog/podcast, ask for their attention - to subscribe, for feedback, to share!
    2) Consistency in everything. Not just how often, or when you publish. Your brand, cover art, content, your promise to the subscriber, your promise to your audience.
    3) The content you create is for someone else. Make sure your listener/viewer/reader wants to share the content you create.
