Young men are more interested in Christianity and tradition than they have been in a century. The nation also overwhelmingly voted for Donald Trump and generally moved in the right wing conservative direction this election. What's going on? How do we think Christianly about this? Maybe, after years of the secular lefts moral insanity and cultural decay, America has smelled the pig food and is finally going home.
Spurgeon's A Puritan Catechism, Question 5:
Are there more Gods than one?
Answer: There is only one (Deut. 6:4) living and true God (Jeremiah 10:10).

Happy Thanksgiving!
In 1 Timothy, Paul warns against a "seared conscience". What exactly is that? Well, it might look like someone who doesn't know how to enjoy a good gravy boat.
Rehoboam wrecked his forefathers kingdom because he ignored the advice of time tested tutors. How can we learn from his error? Hint: CS Lewis has entered the chat. Baylor also chips away at question 4 of Spurgeon's A Puritan Catechism, and wraps up the episode by recommended Pilgrim's Progress by that great puritan John Bunyan.

What is deconstruction? Why are so many young adults who grew up in the church deconstructing their faith and leaving historic Christianity? In this episode, Baylor defines some terms and lays some groundwork for answering these questions. Then comes question 4 of Spurgeon’s A Puritan Catechism. At the end of the episode, Baylor makes his case for reading great fiction and especially reading The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien.
Do we really know what Plato said? Today, Baylor discusses what this has to do with neglectful shepherds, vulnerable sheep, and wolves who love to lie about the Bible's reliability. He moves on to question 3 of Spurgeon's "A Puritan Catechism", and ends the episode reviewing Family Worship by Joel Beeke.
How old is the earth? Well, for a long time, believing the earth is actually only about 6,000 years old has been seen as an anti-intellectual position, and given many an apostate a good excuse for denying the faith. Baylor spends mentions how even some atheist scientists are admitting that Darwinian evolution doesn’t hold water, and then talks about what Christ turning water into wine has to do with the age of the earth.
Section 2 covers question 2 of Spurgeon’s A Puritan Catechism.
In section 3, Baylor recommends reading The Mortification of Sin by John Owen.

In this episode, Baylor asks why we aren't seeing the kind of large scale revival meetings with mass salvations that Billy Graham saw. The answer, to the surprise of no one, has something to do with catechism. In section 2, Baylor covers Question 1 of Spurgeon's "A Puritan Catechism". The episode ends with a book review of The Rare Jewel of Christian Contentment by Jeremiah Burroughs.
In this episode, Baylor discusses how neutrality doesn't actually exist, and why we all ought to start acting like it. He also introduces and gives some background to "the Puritan Catechism", put together by CH Spurgeon. Lastly, Baylor recommends Creeds, Confessions, and Catechisms by Chad Van Dixhoorn for his book review.
