This movie is a hot mess of awesome/terrible. A tonal mess that somehow keeps you invested and irritated at the same time. Richard Harris is always awesome. John Frankenheimer is mostly awesome. Combine this with comedy and you’re left with a James Bond parody that refuses to admit what it is. Good luck choosing a lane, yourselves.

Do not watch this movie. Unless you want to watch Lost Soul which is the documentary about it. Then you should watch it for sure. It’s about splicing animal and human DNA together but not really. It’s mostly about how Hollywood egos can ruin an entire movie.

Turns out I was wrong and we did another John Frankenheimer project on another show. Hey, we’ve done over 1000 of these things so it’s hard to remember. Anyway, here is our review of his Tales From The Crypt episode called Maniac At Large (410). This is from the LIW Anthology Series Review feed (formerly known as LIW Tales From The Crypt Review before we realized how terrible that show is.
