The Pond

WOW we were this close to missing an episode but nope. Not us. We don't do that stuff ya know. We get 2 MINI EPISODES out back to back because we appreciate our listeners and we gotta keep the streak going! Lets get it. Apologies for the late epi, we recorded an episode and the audio was horrible. So we re-recorded another one to replace it and give everyone the content they deserve. Clean. Smooth audio. This mini episode, golf finally gets brought up as we dissect Sii Woo Kim's 13 on a par 3, we dive into the goalie contracts and how some of them may have gotten overpaid?, and Elias Pettersson unhappy with losing, and plenty more. Grab a drink, throw the headphones on, and lets go. Cheers

Guuuuys we are BACK with plenty to talk about on another great summertime episode of The Pond. As you may have heard, silly season is in full swing and the NHL definitely got the memo. With free agency starting this week we have plenty of massive free agent signings to update you on and a few big time trades as well. With all these roster changes the league is going to be a very different place on opening night than it was last season! With Arizona pulling themselves out of the depths with some smart moves this offseason, The Pond has switched its dumpster fire watch to Buffalo, where the boys sound off on the management of Jack Eichel's neck injury. We also have some less fortunate storylines we had to touch on this week. The Evander Kane gambling story has some new twists and turns, and the Logan Mailloux situation in Montreal deserved a second look from the guys this week. Enjoy episode 54 of The Pond!

We are just into the offseason and THINGS ARE HEATING UP! It looks like there are trades and signings happening almost on a daily basis, and were here for it! Makes our job a little easier and gives you guys things to think about over the summer before we dive into another season. This episode, were back at home base as the tour comes to an end. It's sad, but it will be back one day as we toured around Ontario from cottage to cottage recording in some pretty sweet places. We love a good cottage bender and the episodes we make are *chefs kiss*. This episode is a lot of trades and signings! We dive into them and what they mean for the teams effected and the league. Enjoy the epi and we'll catch you next weekend!

The road trip keeps going on as we enter into the best worst time of the year. Silly season, aka the off season is where we get spicy with these episodes and really go off the walls in terms of what we talk about. Still hockey, but also so much more. We love this time of the year, but i think we're already missing big hits and big.... goals? Either way we appreciate you tuning in for another episode and hope you're getting into a few beverages. We talk mostly Seattle Kraken expansion draft and trades, as it all kinda relates to the upcoming draft. Enjoy the episode and we'll catch you guys next week. Peaccceeeeee

The long awaited episode 51 is finally here!!! Tampa Bay secures its second cup in a row and with that, solidifies them as the best team in the league. What a run and what a way to wrap up an entertaining playoffs. Congrats once again to Tampa and their fans for finally being able to celebrate a cup win at home. This episode is filled with good talk about the final series of the fight for Lord Stanley's Cup, trade talk with Eichel and the Seattle Kraken, and get a quick weigh in from our buddies Wes and Lucas on an under rated pick for making the playoffs in 2022. Every week we keep watching this hockey, we as a human race start to evolve further towards perfection. We'd say that it can't get better than this, but we're roughly three weeks out from the Stanley Cup being awarded, and things could get crazy! That being said we appreciate you being here and reading this right now. You're awesome and we love that you enjoy listening to us ramble on for an hour and a bit. This week, we bounced all over the place in the hockey world. We talked the results of the NHLPA player polls, the 2015 draft class, the Eichel trade rumors that have been floating around, and of course, the conference finals. Buckle up and lets get'er going. See ya next Sunday!

We cant help but be a little emotional as we come closer and closer to the Stanley Cup final... I mean, we've been looking forward to this season for so long, and to know that its almost over is well.... We're not crying.... its just allergies. That being said what a ride this has been. Fuckin' rights we've loved the hockey so far and we hope you have to. We're at the conference finals people and this is where the magic is made. Make or break, win or lose, fall or... stand up? Whatever metaphor you want to use, this is that and so much more. We break down the matchups and give our final thoughts on the conclusion of the second round. As per usual we give our predictions for this round and hope we get them right. Enjoy this epi and we'll catch you next Sunday. Bye byeeeee.

Crazy times were living in people! And by that i mean the hockey has been A+, 100%, you pass with flying colours kinda hockey. Absolutely buzzing. Loving this second round so far and we've got some highly entertaining matchups and a lot of story lines. Let us know on our socials what your team is and if they're still in or out. We talk about Scheifele's hit on Jake Evans, the World Hockey Championship, Taya Currie being the first women to be drafted in the OHL, and so much more. Beers up everyone.
