Hello and welcome to Bill vs the MCU! Each month your hosts Pop Break Podcasts Editor Alex Marcus and Pop Break Editor in Chief Bill Bodkin take another step into the wider Marvel Multiverse, with reviews and interviews on the film and television series that may be drawn upon as the MCU dives deeper and deeper into its Multiverse Saga.
In this episode, the sky is green, the grass is red, and the world is controlled by Nazis. No, they are not talking about Olivia Rodrigo, they are talking about the Agents of Hydra, the concluding arc of Agents of SHIELD S4, covering S4E16-S4E22, when the team must fight their way out of the simulation and defeat Aida, aka Ophelia aka Madame Hydra!
To help cap off their coverage of the first half of Agents of SHIELD’s seven season run, they are joined by Marvel News Desk’s Caleb Borchers. He will be discussing his seven year long run covering The MCU on his podcast, and giving the inside story as to why it is coming to an end later this year.
Alex and Bill also return to Marvel news this month in Miss Minutes Marvel Memo where they breakdown all the details of Borys Kit’s October 11th piece for the The Hollywood Reporter titled Daredevil Hits Reset Button as Marvel Overhauls Its TV Business and Tatiana Siegel’s November 1st piece for Variety titled Crisis at Marvel: Jonathan Majors Back Up Plans, The Marvels Reshoots, Reviving Original Avengers, and More Issues Revealed.

Aaron and Josh Sarnecky are here to talk about Dragon Ball GT for the 20th anniversary of its American debut.
Dragon Ball GT is a sequel to the anime Dragon Ball Z. First airing in Japan in 1996, it premiered in the US on Toonami on November 7, 2003. It ended on April 16, 2005. In addition to the show’s 64 episodes, a TV special titled A Hero Legacy released to home video.
In the series, a wish gone wrong turns Earth’s defender Goku (Stephanie Nadolny, Sean Schemmel) back into a child. With the help of Trunks (Eric Vale), his granddaughter Pan (Elise Baughman), and the robot Giru (Sonny Strait), Goku must return the Black Star Dragon Balls to Earth in one year or the planet will explode.
Unlike its predecessors, Dragon Ball GT is not based on a pre-existing manga by Akira Toriyama, though Toriyama was involved to a limited degree. The first saga was originally condescended into one episode in the US, to prevent alienating viewers with its tone. Regardless, fan opinion of GT is mixed at best.
Aaron and Josh talk about their history with the show before going into its plot, characters, animation, and signature transformation, Super Saiyan 4. They also discuss if GT is canon or if new series have replaced it.
For more anime, you can listen to Josh and Aaron’s podcast on Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z. You can also listen to Josh and Amanda Rivas on Anime x Pop.
Dragon Ball GT is streaming on Crunchyroll and Funimation
