Pop Break’s Television Editor Alex Marcus is joined by editor-in-chief Bill Bodkin, and senior columnist Josh Sarnecky to talk about the happenings in television.

Here’s the format of the show:

The Best Thing I Saw on TV Last Month – Alex, Bill, and Josh talk about a show/episode/event we liked from the last month including HBO's Lovecraft Country & I May Destroy You; Hulu's Ramy; & HBO Max's Steven Universe: The Movie.

News Break – Alex, Bill, and Josh discuss the surprise announcement that The Walking Dead will end in 2022...or will it?

Streaming Wars – Alex, Bill, and Josh pick a streamer they think “won the month” based on new shows airing/upcoming shows announced etc. and whether it was Disney Plus, Netflix, Amazon, or another streaming platform that came out on top. Check down below for an episode description and be sure to follow Lovey on Twitter @iamloveytoo and check out the show on YouTube.

    Power Book II: Ghost (S1E2)

The hour starts off on a not-great note for Tasha (Natori Naughton) when she meets with her new lawyer, Davis MacLean (Method Man), and his investigator, Paula (Sherri Saum). Tasha inadvertently refers to her deceased husband as “Ghost,” and the slip immediately piques Paula’s interest, noting that “the Feds could never prove that.” This only serves to incense Davis, who has realized that he has no idea who his new client really is. Meanwhile, Tariq’s (Michael Rainey, Jr.) first day of canonical studies also goes sideways. He didn’t finish the book they’re studying (again), and both the professor and his classmates call him out for it

  • The Anniversary Brothers: NBC's Hannibal's Series Finale 5th Anniversary

Every month Pop Break TV Columnist Josh Sarnecky and his brother, Staff Writer Aaron Sarnecky, get together to celebrate a special moment in TV history! This month, the brothers are back to reminisce over the series finale of one of the most surprising network TV dramas to ever air on NBC, Hannibal, which went off the air five years ago this past August. The series, which was created by Bryan Fuller and aired for three seasons from 2013-2015, starred Mads Mikkelsen as the titular character, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, and Hugh Dancy as Will Graham, an FBI profiler with a talent for thinking like the most depraved minds.

On this podcast Aaron and Josh discuss their past with the series, their overall feelings on the finale, and the relationship between Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham. The two also discuss how Fuller’s interpretation of the Red Dragon story differs from previous adaptations and whether they’d like to see the show come back in some form.
