Aaron, Diego, and Mike are back on the docket to discuss the latest in the NBA. Triggered by that heinous non-call on LeBron James’ game-winning layup attempt versus the Celtics, they begin by expressing their grievances over the atrocious officiating and the lack of consistency shown by NBA referees with their calls. After making their All-Star starter predictions last week, they predict who will round out the rest of the field and make the All-Star Reserves. Finally, they talk about the latest Joel Embiid vs. Nikola Jokic matchup and argue whether Embiid has a real chance of supplanting Jokic off the top of the MVP ladder.

THE POSITIONLESS POD IS BACK. After a month off the mics, the crew is finally back to talk ball. Aaron, Diego, and Mike start off the show by giving their All-Star starters predictions with the official announcement coming up on January 26th. Then, they discuss whether the Brooklyn Nets can sustain their top-four spot in the Eastern Conference standings without the injured Kevin Durant. They also talk about the emergence of the Sacramento Kings as the most exciting team in the NBA. Finally and inevitably, they discuss the Los Angeles Lakers and the potential deals the team could make as the trade deadline approaches.

After a short break, the guys are back together to talk about the biggest stories from around the basketball world this week. Kai, Mike and Aaron start the show off talking about the New York Knicks who are in the midst of a 7-game win streak and have looked completely revitalized, especially on the defensive end. They then dig into the other New York based squad, the Brooklyn Nets, and discuss how insanely good their two superstars have looked now that the drama surrounding the team has been somewhat quelled. They also talk about whether Jacque Vaughn deserves a good chunk of the credit for this more than successful turnaround. Afterwards, they talk about teams that are slumping and just how far they could potentially fall. First, it's the Los Angeles Lakers who lost superstar big Anthony Davis for a month, then they talk about the dismal Toronto Raptors and whether or not they should blow it up.

In this episode of the Positionless Pod, Kai comes back into the fold with Mike and Aaron to talk all the biggest stories in the NBA from the past week of action. They kick off the show talking about the inevitability of the Boston Celtics and if it's even a question as to whether or not they're the team to beat in the NBA right now. How did the historically great defence of last season turn into the historically great offence it is today? They also get into whether or not Tatum should be the front-runner for MVP. After that, they talk about the new number-one seed in the Western Conference, the New Orleans Pelicans. What makes this team as talented as it is and why they're a masterclass in team-building. Next, they talk about both LA teams and the inconsistency plaguing both squads.  The Lakers recent run of success, was it just a flash in the pan or was it a sign of what could be if things break right? As for the Clippers, are we seeing the end of the road for Kawhi Leonard? To close the show, each of the guys pitch a trade that they would like to see as the trade market gets closer and closer to opening up.

Nearly a quarter of the way into the season and patterns are starting to develop. The boys from The Postionless Pod met up to break it all down. With Kai taking one more week off, Aaron, Diego, and Mike talk about KD's most recent comments about his teammates and if throwing them under the bus was the right call? They then get into a team that have surprised some, the Sacramento Kings, their recent offensive explosion and if they think it will last. Then they get into a couple teams that are slumping, the Cleveland Cavaliers fresh off a losing streak and the Golden State Warriors fresh off a championship hangover. At the end they sort a few players into guys that have exceeded, met, or underperformed expectations so far this season.

After a short break, Aaron, Mike, and Diego are back together to talk about everything going on in the basketball world this past week. To kick the show off, they talk about Dwight Howard making a surprise move to Taiwan, despite NBA Teams potentially using his services. Afterwards, they talk about one of those teams, the Lakers, and their continued struggles. At the behest of Mike, they talk about the weirdly bad Warriors and what they could do to improve what should be a much better team. Championship hangover? After talking about the bad teams in the NBA, they transition to teams having great years, the Utah Jazz and the Milwaukee Bucks, two of the three teams in the league to have already reached 10 wins. At the end of the show, they do their weekly NBA Players of the Week segment, discussing the two winners from this past week of action, Kevin Durant and Paul George.

The guys are back together after a short one episode break to talk about the NBA and all things related. For this show, they dig into the Lakers first (FINALLY) victory and what it means for the rest of this NBA season (1:25). They then talk about how awful the Brooklyn Nets are both on and off the court, and discuss their grievances with the Kyrie Irving situation that continues to unfold in Brooklyn (21:35). Later on in the show, they talk about the Eastern and Western conference players of the week, and take some extra time talking about the Brook Lopez resurgence and SGA blooming into a star player before our eyes (42:20).

Though it's only been a week, storylines have already begun to brew, and potential trends are setting in around the NBA. Kai, Aaron, Diego, and Mike come together to talk about all the big surprises at the dawn of this season. To start the show, they talk about how the Utah Jazz have been surprisingly good, or bad depending on how you measure their success this season (2:50). Then they talk about another one of the undefeated teams, the Portland Trailblazers, and their victory over the lowly, winless Lakers (19:20). Later on in the show, they talk about the disappointing Philadelphia 76ers, and what has changed in this team's identity to make them struggle this much to open the year (41:52). Near the end of the show, they try to predict which of the remaining undefeated teams in the NBA will be the last the lose (57:00) and also rank winless teams left in the league (1:04:35).

The NBA Season is officially underway! No more preseason, no more Summer League, the big games that actually count are off and running, and Kai, Aaron, Diego, and Mike are coming together to discuss what they saw in the first couple days of action. Call them overreactions, call them delusions, call them whatever you want, but the guys all hop on this pod to talk about the first few games and debate about how the outcomes will extrapolate to the rest of the season. The Pelicans might never lose again.

The boys are back at it for the final part of their preseason prediction shows! In this one, Kai, Aaron, Diego, and Mike all give their arguments for which player should take home each of the major annual individual NBA awards. 

They kick the show off talking about the Warriors' most recent contract extensions of Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins, and what it could mean for other (lol) players on the roster that might be nearing the end of their contracts (1:57). 

Then, they spend the rest of the show attempting to make the case for their picks on who should win each given award (14:16)
