Back in September, I visited Hot Springs, Arkansas with my son, brother, and nephew. While there we went to two places my brother and I used to visit as kids, the Hot Springs Alligator Farm and the Mid-America Science Museum.

Life's been busy this fall. From overtime at work to multiple family trips to whatever else life has to throw at me right now. So, with life being a little extra busy this fall the podcast had to take a minor break. June was a busy month! I had my work schedule change as well as adding in weekly counseling sessions after being on a waitlist for about 8 months. We also got new 4wheelers that we have been going out riding with a lot lately during my limited free time due to work schedule changes and overtime. Also, during June I had my 30th birthday which June was a busy month! This past weekend I took my wife and son to Anchorage to pick up our new truck. We drove from Anchorage to Homer then took the ferry home to Kodiak. Along, the way we stopped at several local breweries.

This week Brandy and I have been going through the process of buying a new truck. We have been needing a newer more reliable family vehicle for some time. We had planned to go and test drive vehicles next week, however, we found one that we both really like and was within our budget so we decided to go ahead and purchase it and use the planned trip to Anchorage to bring the truck back. We also decided to get another dog and will be picking it up upon our return to Kodiak which will also be Brandy's birthday. I also found a really cool piece of memorabilia on eBay last week that I had sent to my brother for use in his garage bar that will be known as Mark's Pub in memory of our Dad.

Kita went to the dog groomers and had a spa day and got spoiled with her favorite activity of riding in the truck. Kalsin also had a speech evaluation over zoom and could not stay focused. Our favorite seasonal restaurant opened back up after winter and we got a chance to make the drive out to eat there! Lastly, the Indoor Football League started back up for 2021 and I am dedicating a portion of my blog Play Action Puffin to covering some of their games!

This week Kalsin went to a screening for pre-school and to find out if any community services could benefit him. Kalsin attending toddler tumbling and got to burn some energy. Brandy and I took a relaxing drive out to Pasagshak. I also prepare to watch the decommissioning ceremony for the Coast Guard Cutter Douglas Munro.

This week I entered a writing contest with a prompt about stray dogs. So, I wrote about two basset hounds my dad had when I was a kid. These two were named Bonnie and Clyde and their names were no accident. After, reminiscing about those two I made Kita her own Twitter account. I also discuss other dogs from my past such as Fred the Wanderer and Bullet the wiener dog named for a Creed song.

This week I rearranged my living room and in doing so I reflected on how some of the challenges that came with that are similar to some of the larger issues that life often throws at me. Also, Kalsin got a new hot wheels track and a car named Roger Dodger!
