Balancing time between your family and your business is one of the BIGGEST challenges for women who are raising a business and family at the same time. So in this episode I share 5 Time Management Tips that are LESS FLUFFY and MORE PRACTICAL, and tips that I’ve found to be SO useful in my own life.
Okay, let’s get started...
❇️1st things first...really FOCUS on what really matters. List down the #1 priority for your day in the most important categories of your life (business, kids, self-care, etc.)...
This will let you identify the “non-negotiables” versus those that are less important or can be done at a later time.
When you concentrate on the #1 priority for the day, you will feel so much more proud of your days because you know you got the most important thing done and out of the way.
❇️ 2nd is SET DEADLINES. Studies have shown that when you are set to finish a task (or have a very strict deadline) you will get it done even though your brain thinks you can't 🗓
Personally, I find deadlines to be so effective, both in my personal and business life. So set deadlines on yourself, I guarantee that you will actually get what you want to get done… Done.
❇️3rd is UTILIZE WAITING TIMES EFFECTIVELY. If you’re waiting for someone (like at the pediatrician office) and you need to post or send emails📧, why not do your tasks while waiting so you have less on your plate when you get home?⏳
❇️4th is DIVIDE AND RULE. I love delegating things out. If my husband has no work and is at home, I ask him to help me in some of the chores. You can also ask your kids or anyone who is there(maybe a family member) to help out…
Things that don't require your input can always be delegated. By doing so, you are actually helping yourself have time to relax and be happy.
❇️Lastly, 5th is SLEEP and EXERCISE. Sleeping for at least 6 hours is going to make you so much more productive in the day, and exercise can clear your mind and let’s you focus. When I say enough sleep, that means no distractions at all! I know this isn’t easy for us moms, but it makes all the difference when you’re aiming to be more productive❤️
