  • 23-234 Hearing in the Hush: Prioritizing Worship to Hear God’s Voice.

Hey there, Power Of God’s Whisper family, it's Matthew Adams. Today, we're diving deep into a passage that shows us the heart of hearing. The secret? Sometimes, it's in the silence of our souls, in our purest moments of worship, that God's voice echoes loudest.

Scripture: “One day as these men were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Dedicate Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them.’” ACTS 13:2

Picture it: The atmosphere, thick with the presence of the Lord, as devout men in Antioch simply reveled in worship. They weren’t seeking signs or wonders, nor were they on a mission to get directives. They were simply there, in the moment, adoring the Most High. And right there, amidst their songs and sacrifices, God spoke.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Point 1: The Purity of Worship.

These men weren't laying out their five-year plans or asking God for their next step. They were genuinely worshiping Him. It’s in these genuine moments when we’re stripped of our agendas, that we’re most attuned to the Divine.

Point 2: The Power of Stillness.

In a world of constant chatter and noise, how often do we truly sit in stillness? This scene in Antioch reminds us that sometimes, God’s most profound instructions don’t come when we’re desperately seeking them but when we’re simply silent before Him.

Point 3: The Proximity of Relationship.

These men were close to God’s heart, so close that they could discern His voice amidst everything. Relationship isn't about constant dialogue, but about intimacy. When we prioritize knowing God’s heart, we naturally begin to discern His voice.

    Conclusion:

Hearing God isn’t always about our striving or searching; sometimes, it’s about our surrender. Our focus shouldn't be to coax words from His lips but to draw close enough that His whispers naturally reach our ears.

    Call to Action:

This week, I challenge you to spend some time just worshiping—no petitions, no questions. Just pure adoration. And then, listen. Not for guidance or a word, but just to be in His presence. You might just be surprised at the clarity that comes from such simplicity.

    Prayer:

Heavenly Father, draw us closer to Your heart. Help us prioritize our relationship with You, not just the revelations we hope to receive. In our moments of worship, open our ears and our spirits to recognize Your voice. May we find solace in Your presence and clarity in Your whispers. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you for tuning into "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast." Always remember, in the rush and noise of life, the hush of His presence is where the real power lies. Till next time, keep seeking His heart and let His whispers guide you. Blessings to you all!

  • 23-233 Fasting: Tuning In to God’s Frequency

What’s up, family? Matthew Adams here. Today, let’s dig deep into a spiritual discipline that often feels outdated but is as powerful today as it was in Ezra's time. You guessed it - fasting. The art of turning down the volume of our physical desires to amplify God's voice in our lives.

Scripture: “I [Ezra] proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions.” EZRA 8:21, NKJV

Fasting isn't just about skipping meals. It’s about centering our spirit, setting aside distractions, and fully tuning in to God’s station. It’s about recalibrating our souls to the frequency of Heaven.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Point 1: A Shift in Focus.

Fasting, initially, makes us painfully aware of our physical desires. The growling stomach, the fading energy. But as we persevere, these reminders become alarm clocks, awakening our spirit to the real reason we're sacrificing: the desperate need to connect with God.

Point 2: A Declaration of Dependence.

In our fast-paced world, fasting is a radical move. It’s our living statement to the heavens saying, "God, we need You more than our next meal." We're not belittling our physical needs; instead, we’re elevating our spiritual needs above them.

    Point 3: An Amplified Cry.

Our routines can numb us, making our prayers sound more like rehearsed lines than heart cries. Fasting shakes that up. In our hunger, every thought becomes a prayer, every moment an opportunity to seek God, and every pang of hunger an intensified cry to the heavens.

    Conclusion:

Fasting isn't about hunger; it's about clarity. It’s about intentionally creating a space, a void, that only God can fill. In that space, we find not only our needs met but also a clearer channel to hear from God.

    Call to Action:

Maybe it's time for a spiritual reset. Consider setting aside a day this week to fast and pray. It doesn't have to be a full day, maybe just a meal. But in that time, let hunger be your reminder, not of the meal you’re missing, but of the God you’re seeking.

    Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with open hearts, ready to set aside our needs to lean into Yours. As we contemplate the discipline of fasting, equip us with a determination that outlasts hunger. Fill our spiritual voids as we carve them out for You. Let Your voice ring clear and loud. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thanks for joining me on "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast." As you journey this week, may your spiritual senses be heightened, may your connection with God deepen, and may you find clarity in the whisper of His voice. Until next time, stay hungry for Him. Blessings!

  • 23-332 A Love Letter From God

The voice said to [Ezekiel], “Son of man, eat what I am giving you  —eat this scroll! Then go and give its message to the people of Israel.” So I opened my mouth, and he fed me the scroll. . . . And when I ate it, it tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth. EZEKIEL 3:1-3

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

    My Beloved,

From the beginning of time, before the foundation of the world, I knew you. I formed you intricately, uniquely, and beautifully in your mother’s womb. Every facet of who you are has been touched by My love and design. Today, I desire to remind you of a precious truth, an echo of a conversation I had with my servant Ezekiel, but it is as much for you as it was for him.

Do you remember the account of Ezekiel and the scroll? As the heavenly voice instructed him to consume the scroll, it was more than a symbolic act. Just as the words on that scroll were meant to nourish, guide, and strengthen Ezekiel, so too, My words are designed to sustain and transform you. These words, My beloved, are not mere letters and sounds. They are the heartbeat of My affection for you, the rhythm of My love, and the melody of My grace.

Each time you open your heart to My words, you're not merely reading or listening; you're engaging in an intimate dance with Me. They are alive, carrying the weight of eternity and the warmth of My embrace. I don’t merely want you to know them; I yearn for you to be enveloped by them, to let them saturate every fiber of your being, to let them change you from the inside out.

I've observed moments when you've felt distant or struggled to align your desires with My will. But remember, My words aren't just about obedience; they're about transformation. I don’t desire robotic compliance from you; I desire a heartfelt connection. I've planted My Spirit within you, not as a taskmaster, but as a guide, a friend, a constant reminder of My presence and love.

There have been times when the world's noise has threatened to drown out My whispers, and the weight of life's demands has made it hard for you to discern My voice. But know this: even in those times, I am near. I am speaking, beckoning you closer. My words are sweet, designed to rejuvenate your spirit and remind you of your identity in Me. They are the anchor in life's storms and the compass in your moments of uncertainty.

So, dearest one, come closer. Feast upon My words. Let them be the song that lulls you to sleep and the anthem that awakens you each morning. You are cherished, adored, and deeply loved. And as you walk through this life, remember that My voice will always guide you, and My love will forever envelop you.

    Yours Eternally,

    Your Loving Father.

  • 23-231 Shepherds of Truth: The Call to Authentic Ministry

Warriors, what's up? It's Matthew Adams here. Sometimes, in the cacophony of voices in our world, one voice stands out, calling us back to authenticity and truth. Jeremiah knew it, George Fox recognized it, and we, too, can discern God's voice amidst the noise.

Scripture: "I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will guide you with knowledge and understanding." - JEREMIAH 3:15

Throughout history, God has consistently raised voices of reformation and revival. Whether prophets of the Old Testament or visionaries in the church's annals, God ensures His authentic message is delivered. When the spiritual climate grows stale, God breathes fresh life through a chosen vessel.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Point 1: The Legacy of Corrective Voices.

The Bible and church history are replete with figures whom God selected to course-correct His people. From Moses leading a rebellion-scarred Israel to George Fox's passionate proclamation, God's voice cuts through falsehoods, delivering unvarnished truth. Whenever the world grows deaf to genuine spirituality, God amplifies His voice through chosen instruments.

Point 2: The Power of Individual Reformation.

Often, God doesn't just change the masses; He starts with an individual. When the surrounding environment is spiritually dry, God might not direct us to greener pastures right away. Instead, He might empower us to be the reformation catalyst, echoing God's voice in a desert of spiritual mediocrity.

    Point 3: God’s Unyielding Promise.

Even when the shepherds of His people falter, God's promise remains firm. If current leaders miss the mark, God ensures a fresh wave of godly shepherds rise up. These shepherds, aligned with His heart, usher in truth and revival. Our trust should not hinge on human frailty but on God’s unwavering commitment.

    Conclusion:

God's voice, resounding through history, serves as a beacon for His people. Though the medium might change — from ancient prophets to passionate preachers — the message remains constant: a call to authentic worship and discipleship.

    Call to Action:

Family, this week, lean into that voice. Allow God to stir within you a hunger for genuine spiritual engagement. And if you feel that nudge to be a voice of reformation in your community, don't shy away. Embrace it, and let God lead.

    Prayer:

Father, amid the myriad voices, help us tune into Yours. When the world offers hollow echoes, let Your words resonate within our spirits. Raise us, O God, not as passive listeners but as active proclaimers of Your enduring truth. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Thank you, Warriors…for journeying with me on "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast." As we forge ahead, let's be attuned to God's authentic call in our lives, discerning His voice amidst the clamor. Until next time, let God's whisper power your steps. Stay blessed!

  • 23-230 Tuned In: The Art of Truly Listening to God

Hey Warriors, In a world filled with noise, distractions, and false affirmations, are we truly listening to God's voice? Are we tuned in?

Scripture: “I posted watchmen over you who said, ‘Listen for the sound of the alarm.’ But you replied, ‘No! We won’t pay attention!’” - JEREMIAH 6:17

Biblical times might feel distant, but the message of Jeremiah rings loud and clear in our era. God sends watchmen, messages, and signals – but are we really listening? The danger isn't in God not speaking, but in us selectively hearing.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Point 1: The Calamity of a Calloused Heart.

The major hindrance in discerning God's voice is a heart hardened by prejudice, desires, and selfish ambitions. When our heart is calloused, even the loudest alarms fade into mere whispers. By softening our hearts and genuinely seeking His voice, we make space for divine revelation.

Point 2: The Risk of Selective Listening.

We often lend our ears to what we wish to hear. In doing so, we become susceptible to false voices and soothing lies, missing out on God's true messages. By determining to hear only affirmations, we risk spiritual deafness. God's voice may not always be what we want to hear, but it's always what we need.

Point 3: The Blessing of Open Ears and Heart.

Being open to God means not just hearing, but truly listening. When we make ourselves available to any message God has for us – be it correction, guidance, or affirmation – our spiritual connection with Him deepens. We no longer just hear God; we understand Him.

    Conclusion:

God's voice is constant. But to truly discern it amidst the cacophony of the world, we must tune our hearts and minds to His frequency. When we let go of our selective listening and embrace openness, we create a direct channel to God's wisdom.

    Call to Action:

This week, challenge yourself. Step away from the noise, find a quiet place, and just listen. Make a conscious effort to clear your heart of biases and desires. Listen for God's voice with an open heart.

    Prayer:

Heavenly Father, unblock our spiritual ears. Help us overcome our biases and self-centered desires. May we always be open to Your guiding voice, even when it challenges our preconceptions. Let our hearts resonate with Your divine messages, ensuring we never stray from Your path. Amen.

Thank you, Warriors, for taking this journey with me. At "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast," we believe in nurturing our spiritual connection with God, and a significant part of that is truly listening to Him. Until next time, keep those ears and hearts open, and stay blessed!

  • 23-229 Echoes from Eternity: Discerning God's Timeless Voice

Welcome Warriors!!! It's Matthew Adams here..have you ever felt overwhelmed by the clamor of the world? In our quest for direction, we often find ourselves yearning for the familiar tones of God's timeless voice.

Scripture: "This is what the LORD says: 'Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls.'" JEREMIAH 6:16

The allure of new revelation can sometimes overshadow the rich tapestry of God's age-old wisdom. Yet, to truly discern God's direction, we must harmonize the new with the old, finding that sweet intersection where His past words meet His current whispers.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Point 1: God's Unchanging Nature Amidst A Shifting World.

While the world evolves, the essence of God remains steadfast. Embracing this truth is fundamental. While He may navigate us through new challenges using fresh insights, His inherent character remains the guidepost we can always rely on.

Point 2: The Balance Between Revelation and Foundation.

God's fresh revelations are anchored in eternal truths. By immersing ourselves in Scripture and understanding His timeless nature, we sharpen our ability to discern His present-day directions. Remember, His heart does not waver, even if the world does.

Point 3: The Beauty of Ancient Paths.

There's unmatched serenity in walking God's age-old paths. These paths, worn by countless faithful footsteps before ours, resonate with God's steadfast love and wisdom. When we tread upon them, we not only honor the legacy of the faithful but also gain profound insights into His will.

    Conclusion:

God's voice, though it may echo through different eras and situations, always reverberates with His eternal heartbeats. To truly align with His will, we must harmonize our lives with the ageless melodies of His words and ways.

    Call to Action:

This week, dive deeper into the annals of Scripture. Seek not just the 'new' but embrace the 'old'. Let the ancient paths guide you, refining your ability to discern God's timeless whispers amidst today's noise.

    Prayer:

Lord, ground us in Your eternal truths. As we navigate the crossroads of life, may Your ancient words illuminate our path. Help us discern the harmony of Your timeless voice amidst the cacophony of today's world. We yearn for the rest only Your ageless wisdom can provide. Amen.

  • 23-228 The Authentic Whisper: Discerning God’s True Voice in a World of Idols

Scripture: "Tell [the leaders of Israel], 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: The people of Israel have set up idols in their hearts and fallen into sin, and then they go to a prophet asking for a message. So I, the LORD, will give them the kind of answer their great idolatry deserves... And if a prophet is deceived into giving a message, it is because I, the LORD, have deceived that prophet.'" EZEKIEL 14:4, 9

What's up, Warriors? It's Matthew Adams with "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast." In a world bombarded with countless voices, distractions, and potential idols, how do we know we're hearing the true voice of God?

Seeking God's voice amid the chaos requires not just a keen ear but a pure heart. Because a heart swayed by idols and desires is like a broken antenna - it might pick up signals, but they're often the wrong ones. The warning in Ezekiel is crystal clear: God does not reward idol worship with authentic guidance.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

    NOTE: about verse 9

This verse and its surrounding context emphasize the seriousness of idolatry and the importance of faithfulness to God. In the chapter, some of Israel's elders come to the prophet Ezekiel, but God reveals that these elders have idols in their hearts. God then lays out a series of judgments against those who engage in idolatry, including those who consult false prophets.

In verse 9, when God says He has deceived the prophet, it's a way of saying that God has allowed the false prophet to be misled. The understanding is that if a prophet chooses to speak falsely or promote idolatry, God might let him be deluded. However, the responsibility still lies with the prophet for turning away from God in the first place.

This concept can be a challenging one because it grapples with questions about God's sovereignty and human responsibility. In many ways, this verse is meant to serve as a warning: both for those who might be tempted to consult false prophets and for those who might be tempted to speak falsely on God's behalf. The implication is clear that there are severe consequences for leading others astray and for being led astray oneself.

Point 1: Understand The Gravity Of Idolatry.

Idols aren't just ancient wooden statues; they're anything that takes the rightful place of God in our hearts. Be it fame, wealth, or even our personal desires, they distort our spiritual reception. An idol-clouded heart will always struggle to distinguish God's genuine voice.

    Point 2: Self-check and Purification.

Consistent self-reflection is paramount. Jesus did warn of false prophets, but He also promised the Spirit of Truth to guide us. Dive deep into introspection, dismantle any altars we’ve unintentionally built, and ensure our heart's frequency is tuned to Heaven.

Point 3: Seek Him with a Submissive Heart.

This is key. If our heart is sincerely inclined towards God, He will never lead us astray. Not because we're perfect, but because of His perfect love for us. A surrendered heart, even with its imperfections, can hear the whisper of God.

    Conclusion:

God’s voice is not elusive or reserved for a select few. He speaks to all who are ready and willing to listen. But remember, the clarity of His voice is determined not by the volume of our prayers but by the purity of our hearts.

    Call to Action:

This week, challenge yourself. Spend some moments in solitude and ask: "Are there idols taking up space in my heart?" Pray for clarity, purity, and an unobstructed connection to God's voice. Be honest, be vulnerable, and let God recalibrate your heart.

    Prayer:

Lord, in a world that constantly vies for our attention, help us guard our hearts. We acknowledge our human tendencies to drift, but today, we choose to center our hearts on You. Cleanse us from any idolatry and fine-tune our spirits to Your frequency. Let Your whisper break through every other noise, and guide us into Your perfect truth. Amen.

Thank you, Warriors, for diving deep with me today. On "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast," we're on a relentless pursuit of God’s voice. Till next time, keep those hearts pure and ears open. Blessings!

  • 23-227 Navigating Life's Doors: Discerning the Voice of God

Hey Warriors, it's Matthew Adams here with "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast." I've been pondering doors lately, not just the physical ones, but the metaphorical doors of opportunities, decisions, and life's twists and turns. And guess what? Sometimes, God's voice is resonating in the creaking hinges and echoing through those closed hallways.

Scripture: "What he opens, no one can close; and what he closes, no one can open." REVELATION 3:7

Life is a maze of countless doors. Some swing wide open, while others slam shut in our faces. And while doors can symbolize myriad possibilities, they also represent God's divine direction. But how do we discern His voice amid the deafening noise of life's choices?

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Point 1: Doors Don't Dictate; They Direct.

The state of a door doesn't determine God's will. An open door isn't an automatic "go," and a closed door isn't always a "no." Just like the Israelites at the Red Sea, sometimes God calls us to what seems impassable. But His power makes a way when there seems to be none.

Point 2: Discernment is in the Details.

When facing multiple open doors, it can feel overwhelming. But God isn’t a God of confusion. When He opens more than one door, He also provides discernment to choose wisely. It's crucial to lean into Him, seek wisdom, and be patient. Let His voice guide you, even if it means waiting by the door for a while.

Point 3: Trust in God's Perfect Timing.

Our timing isn't always aligned with God's, and that's a good thing! His panoramic view of our lives ensures that every door's opening and closing serves a divine purpose. Even when our impatient hearts yearn to push forward, His voice may beckon us to wait, promising that His timing is perfect.

    Conclusion:

Every door we face, open or closed, presents a chance to hear God's voice, to discern His will, and to align our steps with His. So as you stand before the doors of life, be still, listen closely, and let Him guide you through or steer you away.

    Call to Action:

This week, take a moment to stand before the doors in your life. Pray, seek God's guidance, and listen intently for His voice. Is there a door you've been trying to force open, or one you've been too scared to approach? Surrender them to Him and let His voice lead you.

    Prayer:

Lord, thank You for the doors You open and those You close. We trust in Your perfect timing and direction. Give us discerning ears to hear Your voice and bold hearts to walk in Your will. Even when we're unsure, remind us that You're sovereign, and Your plans for us are perfect. Amen.

Thank you for joining me, Matthew Adams, on "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast." May we always seek God's voice amid life's many doors and walk faithfully in His direction. Blessings to you all, and until next time, keep listening for His whispers.

  • 23-226 Hearing God in What You Hold: Discovering His Voice in Your Assets

Hey warriors! welcome back to another episode from “The Power Of God’s Whisper. Today, I want you to visualize a scene: Moses, standing by a burning bush, feeling wholly inadequate. God is ready to use what Moses already has…and, just like Moses, many of us question if we have what it takes to achieve our God-given callings. Yet, God’s message is consistent: He speaks through what you already possess.

Scripture: "The LORD asked [Moses], 'What is that in your hand?'” EXODUS 4:2

When Moses confronted that burning bush, he faced self-doubt. Still, God used what Moses had - a simple rod. Moses' rod transformed into something powerful, symbolizing how God uses our existing assets to manifest His plans.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Point 1: Recognizing Your God-Given Assets

You don’t need to look far to discover the treasures God has blessed you with. Your talents, resources, and experiences aren't random. They are divinely orchestrated instruments, prepping you for the mission God has set. There is an old saying that often says, "God doesn't call the qualified; He qualifies the called." Recognize and value the assets already in your grasp.

Point 2: Surrendering to His Purpose

Hearing God's voice means actively surrendering our assets for His use. Just as Moses "threw down" his rod, we must offer up our gifts and see them come alive in God's power. By laying them down before Him, we give Him room to perform miracles through them.

Point 3: Embracing Past Lessons for Future Directives

God’s voice is consistent, building upon what He has already established in our lives. The challenges, successes, and experiences of your past? They're not mere memories. They’re stepping stones, revealing the direction of God's voice and guiding you into your divine future.

    Conclusion:

Friends, God’s voice isn’t always in the thunder or the storm; sometimes, it's in the very things we overlook - our assets. By recognizing, surrendering, and embracing what we have, we tune our ears to hear God more clearly.

    Call to Action:

I challenge you this week: Take a moment to reflect on your assets. What have you been holding back from God? Lay it down before Him. Tune into His voice and watch those assets come alive in ways you've never imagined.

    Prayer:

Lord, open our ears to hear You in the midst of our doubts and fears. Teach us to recognize the assets You've blessed us with, and embolden us to surrender them to Your purpose. May we always remember that in our hands, our gifts are limited, but in Yours, they hold the power to change the world. Thank you for always guiding and equipping us. Amen.

Thank you for tuning into "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast" with Matthew Adams. Remember, God's voice might be closer than you think, right in the assets you already hold. Until next time, stay blessed and keep seeking His voice in every part of your life.

    My Dear Child,

Indeed, My words are not merely letters on a scroll, but the vibrant expressions of My love, wisdom, and power. They are filled with My Spirit, alive and transformative, consistently fulfilling My purpose and expressing My heart. I wish for you to not merely read or hear My words but to embrace them, to internalize them and let them shape who you are.

When I speak to you, I desire for you to consume My words, digest them and integrate them into your very being. Do not let My words merely pass through your ears without changing you. They are not just rules to follow or advice to heed; they are more than that. They are the bread of life, the nourishment for your soul. When My words become a part of you, you become more like Me. As you are fond of saying, "You are what you eat." When you feast on My words, you embody My love, wisdom, and truth.

Obeying My words may seem challenging at times, but remember, My words are meant to be taken into the depths of your being, changing you from the inside out. I do not expect you to follow My words without first transforming your heart. This is why I have given you a new nature and filled you with My Spirit. My words, once seeming bitter from the outside, become sweeter than honey when they are consumed and cherished.

Embody My words, My Child. Let them become part of your very being, and share the sweet taste of My truth with those around you. As you partake of My Word, it will nourish you and prepare you to speak life into the lives of others.

    In My Abundant Love,

    Your Heavenly Father
