  • 23-224 Eternal Life: A Relationship Beyond Information

Welcome to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I'm Matthew Adams, your host. Today, we delve into the true essence of eternal life as described by Jesus Christ in the book of John. What does it truly mean to know God? Join me as we explore the depth of this relationship.

Scripture: "This is the way to have eternal life —to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth." JOHN 17:3

In our pursuit of God, we often seek knowledge and understanding, but a genuine encounter with Him goes beyond intellect. It is an intimate relationship that transcends mere information. Using the transformation of the renowned mathematician and philosopher, Blaise Pascal, as an example, we'll delve into what it means to truly know God.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Point 1: The Transformation of Blaise Pascal

Blaise Pascal experienced a profound spiritual awakening he referred to as his “night of fire.” This experience marked his transition from knowing about God through intellectual understanding to knowing God in a personal, intimate relationship.

Point 2: The True Encounter with God

Experiencing God is more than acquiring knowledge or gaining insight. It is a covenant, a conversation, and an intimate relationship that deepens our connection with Him.

Point 3: The Essence of Eternal Life

According to Jesus Christ in John 17:3, eternal life is about knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom He sent. This 'knowing' is more than intellectual assent; it's entering into a relationship with God that is personal, vibrant, and transformative.

    Conclusion:

In our pursuit of God, let's remember that our relationship with Him is beyond mere information. It's a connection that redefines our lives and deepens our spiritual journey. We are called not just to understand God but to enter into a loving relationship with Him.

    Call to Action:

Seek more than knowledge; desire an encounter. Yearn for more than insights; long for a relationship. Let your pursuit of God draw you into an intimate bond with Him.

    Prayer:

Father, Your words are life to me. Your truth calls me to respond and draws me into an unbreakable bond with You. Plant Your life within me through the power of Your words.

Thank you for tuning in to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I'm Matthew Adams, reminding you that your relationship with God is not about information but transformation. Until our next episode, may your relationship with God deepen as you seek to know Him more. God bless you.

  • 23-223 Guided by God: Moving Beyond Closed Doors

Welcome to another episode of "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast." I'm your host, Matthew Adams. Today, we will explore how God guides us and how we can become more attuned to His direction, especially when we encounter closed doors in our life's journey.

Scripture: "The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Do not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.” PSALM 32:8-9

Feeling like a pinball, bouncing from one obstacle to another, is something many of us can relate to. We yearn for clear direction from God, hoping to avoid the frustration of closed doors. Today's episode discusses how we can navigate life's challenges, trust in God's guidance, and respond to His whispers.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

    Point 1: Navigating Closed Doors

It's a common experience to encounter closed doors when we're convinced we're pursuing God's direction. While it can be a source of frustration, it's essential to remember that these experiences serve a purpose and can contribute to our spiritual growth and understanding of God's ways.

    Point 2: Embracing the Process

Sometimes the journey, with all its detours and redirections, is just as important as the destination. These experiences can refine our character, cultivate our patience, and teach us to trust God's timing, even when we face obstacles or delays.

    Point 3: Hearing God First

God yearns to communicate with us even before we take the first step. He wants us to hear His voice and follow His guidance. To do so, we must cultivate our ability to hear His whispers, making time for prayer, contemplation, and listening.

    Conclusion:

Though closed doors can be frustrating, they offer valuable lessons and opportunities for spiritual growth. God promises to guide, advise, and watch over every step we take. Our task is to listen, trust, and respond to His voice.

    Call to Action:

Let's approach life with an open heart, ready to listen to God's voice, and prepared to trust His guidance, no matter where it leads us. Let's remember that every closed door is a chance to grow, learn, and move closer to the path God has for us.

    Prayer:

Lord, help me not to be like a senseless animal, bouncing from door to door. I desire to hear Your voice clearly and follow Your guidance willingly. Help me to trust in Your promise to lead me along the best pathway for my life.

  • 23-222 Living in the Age of Divine Communication: Lessons from Pentecost

Welcome back to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I'm your host, Matthew Adams. In today's episode, we're taking a journey back to the day of Pentecost and exploring the profound implications it has for us today in our personal communication with God.

Scripture: "Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams." (ACTS 2:17)

We live in an era where direct communication with God is not just possible but intended by Him. Today's episode reveals how the day of Pentecost marked the start of a new spiritual era and how we, as children of God, can experience prophetic sensitivities, visions, and dreams.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Point 1: The New Era of the Spirit

Pentecost marked the beginning of a new era. The Holy Spirit, the divine communicator, was poured out on the believers, and prophecy, visions, and dreams became accessible to all God's people. This moment demonstrates God's desire to communicate with each one of us, breaking down barriers of gender, age, and status.

    Point 2: Accessibility of God

God, through His Spirit, is accessible to every believer. The coming of the Holy Spirit signifies a shift from a distant God to an intimate, personal, and accessible God. As 2 Corinthians 5:17 indicates, all who belong to Christ are a new creation, capable of receiving the gifts and hearing the voice of the Spirit.

Point 3: The Reality of Spiritual Droughts

Even in this era of open communication, there are times when God seems silent, causing us to go through dark and confusing times. Yet, these periods are temporary and not reflective of God's nature. He desires for us to know Him, and it is our role to continue seeking Him, even in the face of seeming silence.

    Conclusion:

We're living in the age of divine communication. This is a time of open communication with God, where prophetic revelations, visions, and dreams are not uncommon but an invitation to deeper communion with God.

    Call to Action:

Let's press into God, seeking to know Him more deeply. May we pray and yearn for the clear expressions of His truth in our lives. Let's invite the Holy Spirit to guide us into a reality where the spiritual environment of Pentecost is active in our lives today.

    Prayer:

Spirit of God, stir in us a longing for Your truth. We ask for visions and dreams, in whatever form You choose to reveal them. Help us to live in the free-flowing spiritual environment of Pentecost today and every day.

Thank you for joining me today on "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I'm Matthew Adams, encouraging you to engage in this open communication with the divine, to listen to His voice, and to experience His presence daily. God bless you until our next episode.

  • 23-221 Finding God in His Creation: Lessons from Solomon

Scripture: "[Solomon] could speak with authority about all kinds of plants, from the great cedar of Lebanon to the tiny hyssop that grows from cracks in a wall. He could also speak about animals, birds, small creatures, and fish." (1 KINGS 4:33)

Welcome once again to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast" with me, Matthew Adams. In today's episode, we will explore the wonders of God's creation and how it serves as a reservoir of divine wisdom. Our guide in this journey is none other than the wise King Solomon.

God's wisdom is not confined to Scripture alone but is magnificently spread throughout His creation. This episode invites you to approach the world around you with a spirit of curiosity and reverence, looking for divine truths in everyday life.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Point 1: God’s Wisdom in His Creation

Like Solomon, we can learn a lot about God's wisdom by observing His creation. Animals, birds, plants, and even tiny creatures bear testimony to the ways of God, revealing His creativity, power, and intricate design.

Point 2: Lessons from the Natural World

The natural world serves as a canvas on which God paints lessons for us to learn. From the unity of locusts to the strength of lions, we can find divine lessons embedded in the behavior and traits of animals.

Point 3: God's Reflection in All Fields

God's character can be gleaned from various fields of human knowledge and inquiry. From the arts to science, from technology to government, God has left His mark in all these domains. As we delve deeper into these fields, we can find traces of His wisdom and creativity.

    Conclusion:

The study of God's creation is a journey of divine discovery. Every detail of the world around us mirrors aspects of God's wisdom and nature, calling us to learn and grow in our understanding of Him.

    Call to Action:

Let's cultivate an attitude of curious wonder, taking time to observe and ponder the natural world around us. As we become more inquisitive, we open the door to discover divine truths in the most unexpected places.

  • 23-220 Walking in the Footprints of the Father

Greetings once again, and welcome to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast" with me, Matthew Adams. In today's episode, we will take a journey, treading the sacred pathway that our Savior Jesus Christ walked - a pathway of imitating the Father's actions.

Scripture: "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does." (JOHN 5:19)

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, walked in perfect obedience to God the Father, doing nothing by Himself but only what He saw the Father doing. If this was the way for the Son of God, it ought to be the way for us too. Let's learn together how to notice the Father's actions and align our lives accordingly.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Point 1: Jesus - Our Example, Not Just an Exception

Jesus is not just the exceptional Son of God; He is also our example of a life lived in harmony with the Father. His way of life reveals the potential we have when we live in perfect obedience to God’s Spirit.

Point 2: Seeing What the Father Is Doing

To follow the Father’s lead, we must learn to see His movements in our lives. This requires spiritual discernment which we gain by asking Him to heighten our spiritual senses. As we consciously watch and listen, we become more aware of His presence, His work, and His words.

Point 3: Imitating the Father - Our Highest Form of Worship

Imitation of the Father is more than flattery; it's our sincerest form of worship. It involves aligning ourselves with His activities and becoming active partners in His divine work.

    Conclusion:

Following in the footsteps of our Heavenly Father is our divine calling. It involves becoming observant of His work, responsive to His voice, and participative in His divine mission.

    Call to Action:

I invite you to embark on a journey of deep spiritual noticing. Let's seek to discern what the Father is doing in our lives and around us. Let's choose to align ourselves with His activity, echoing His actions in our lives.

    Prayer:

Lord, as I strive to imitate You, heighten my spiritual senses. Help me see Your footprint in every situation, guiding me to do as You do. Let my life be a sincere form of worship to You, filled with the beauty of Your divine imitation.

  • 23-219 Recognizing the Voice of the Good Shepherd

Welcome back to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast"! I am your host…Matthew Adams. In today's episode, we delve into a familiar yet profound reality for all believers: recognizing and responding to the voice of our Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ.

Scripture: "[Jesus said,] 'I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me.'" (JOHN 10:14)

The intimate relationship between the shepherd and his sheep, as outlined in the Gospel of John, transcends surface-level recognition. It's a spiritual familiarity, an intuitive knowing, that goes beyond the realm of human logic and intellect. Today, we'll explore this unique spiritual relationship, as we strive to tune our ears to the voice of our Shepherd.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

    Point 1: Beyond Intellectual Understanding

Our relationship with Jesus isn't solely an intellectual exercise—it's a spiritual awakening. While studying and memorizing Scripture is vital, the deeper spiritual connection happens when we learn to recognize Jesus' voice intuitively, as sheep recognize their shepherd's voice.

    Point 2: The Mysterious 'Knowing'

The knowledge of our Shepherd isn’t learned; it’s innately present in every believer. It's a sense of familiarity that Jesus has sown into our spirits—a feeling of 'home' when we are in His presence. This spiritual familiarity often transcends our understanding.

Point 3: Discerning His Voice in Our Lives

Life presents a plethora of voices and messages that can be confusing. The key is to develop a discerning heart that recognizes the voice of the Shepherd amidst the noise. When messages carry His personality and reflect His work, we can be confident that our Shepherd is speaking.

    Conclusion:

Recognizing the voice of the Good Shepherd is an intimate spiritual journey. It involves moving beyond intellectual understanding to develop an intuitive knowing of Jesus' voice, presence, and work in our lives.

    Call to Action:

As we navigate through the complexities of life, let's strive to attune our spiritual senses to the voice of our Good Shepherd. Let's seek His presence, knowing that in Him we find our true 'home'.

    Prayer:

Dear Jesus, our Good Shepherd, we seek to recognize and respond to Your voice amidst the cacophony of life's voices. Help us to sense Your presence deep within our spirits, and let everything about You and Your Kingdom feel like 'home' to us.

  • 23-118 A Love Letter From God

I am sending you to say to [the nation of Israel], “This is what the Sovereign LORD says!” And whether they listen or refuse to listen  —for remember, they are rebels  —at least they will know they have had a prophet among them. EZEKIEL 2:4-5

    My Dear Child,

Just as I sent Ezekiel, so I send you. Just as I spoke to prophets of old, so I speak to you. Just as I inspired them to declare My message, so I inspire you. I am the living Word, and My voice continues to reverberate throughout the universe. I am not a God of silence, but a God who speaks, guides, and reveals. I have called you to listen, to discern, and to share what you hear with those around you.

Remember, My child, it is not presumptuous to claim you have heard My voice if indeed you have listened and discerned My words. It is not presumptuous to be a prophetic voice when it is I who call you to that role. However, it is presumptuous if you claim to speak on My behalf without first seeking My heart and listening to My Spirit.

I don't ask you to pen Scripture as the prophets of old did. Instead, I ask you to align with My heart, to seek My will, and to represent Me to the world. I ask you to mirror My nature and to proclaim what you discern from My Spirit. I wish to remain a living, active voice in this world, and you are an essential part of that mission.

Does this responsibility feel overwhelming? It need not be. For what should truly inspire awe and humble reverence is the prospect of neglecting this divine calling. Yes, it is a sacred task, but remember that My perfect love drives out all fear. As you grow closer to My heart, as you align more and more with My purposes, you will find that My Spirit communicates clearly, affirming your role in this divine dialogue.

So, My Child, the words spoken to Ezekiel apply to you as well. You are filled with My Spirit and called to a holy mission. Seek My face, listen to My voice, embody My love, and share My words. Stand confident in My commission, knowing I am with you, guiding you in every moment.

    In My Loving Kindness,

    Your Heavenly Father

  • 23-217 The Harmony of Prayer and Scripture: A Journey to God's Profound Truths

Good morning warrior…I am your host, Matthew Adams, bringing you another episode from "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". We have an inspiring and spiritual journey ahead of us, spotlighting the profound synergy between prayer and the understanding of God's Word. Our focus for today is none other than the contemplative Isaac of Syria.

Scripture: "No prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding, or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God." (2 PETER 1:20-21)

Bishop Isaac of Syria, a man who sacrificed worldly commitments to dwell in solitude with God's Word, offers us a potent piece of wisdom: "Approach not the scriptures without prayer." As we unpack his advice, we will explore the unique and intimate relationship between prayer and scripture understanding.

Point 1: The Multidimensional Language of God's Word

The Bible, a divine revelation of God's character, His plans, and His will, is teeming with nuances, shades of meaning, and diverse implications. However, its interpretation isn't a free-for-all. It communicates only what God intends, making no allowances for distortion or abuse.

    Point 2: Scripture - A Prayerful Encounter

Isaac of Syria implores us to engage with the scriptures prayerfully, asking God to grant us the power to perceive the truth embedded within. It is a call to invoke God's help, acknowledging that human wisdom, unaided, can never fathom the depths of God's Word.

Point 3: Surrender to the Holy Spirit

Interpreting scripture requires us to surrender our intellectual faculties to the Holy Spirit. It's a divine collaboration, where the Holy Spirit inspires, reveals, and guides us through the labyrinth of God's wisdom, making His Word come alive.

    Conclusion:

True scripture understanding lies at the intersection of prayerful reading and Spirit-led interpretation. It invites us into a humble recognition of our limited understanding and calls for a complete reliance on the Holy Spirit.

    Call to Action:

As we study God's Word, let's incorporate prayer as our compass, inviting the Holy Spirit to illuminate our understanding and enrich our spiritual wisdom.

Prayer: Dear Lord, our human wisdom falls short in grasping Your profound thoughts. We invite Your Spirit to enable, inspire, and interpret Your Word as we read and meditate. Reveal Your truth to us, in us, and through us.

Ending: Thank you for joining me, Matthew Adams, on another insightful journey into understanding God's Word on "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". May we continue to seek His wisdom through a prayerful study of scripture, letting His Word shape our hearts and minds. Until next time, stay blessed.

Hello, faithful followers of "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I'm your host, Matthew Adams, here to delve into the profound mystery of hearing God's voice. Today, we journey through Psalm 18 with David, learning how God's thunderous voice can turn our predicaments into divine opportunities.

Scripture: "The LORD thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded." (PSALM 18:13)

David, the shepherd turned king, was no stranger to crisis. His psalms, rich with raw emotion, shed light on his trials and his steadfast reliance on God. Psalm 18 depicts God responding to David's desperate prayers with celestial grandeur—a reminder that God's mighty voice, echoed in our lives, can change our circumstances.

Point 1: The Power of God's Voice God's voice carries unimaginable power—it thunders, it resounds, it creates, it transforms. His utterances command nature, control circumstances, and alter realities. Our seemingly insignificant battles become theatres of divine intervention when God's voice reverberates through them.

Point 2: Prayer—A Portal to God's Voice Prayer connects us to God's voice. When we cry out to God, we seek more than mere guidance. We beckon the divine voice to resound in our lives, transforming our predicaments into opportunities, and turning our mourning into joy.

Point 3: Echoing God's Voice As God's children, we carry His Word within us. By declaring His promises over our lives, we invite His power to manifest in our circumstances. Our words, echoing God's voice, carry divine authority that demands a response from the world around us.

    Conclusion:

God's voice isn't merely a source of comfort; it's a powerful, world-altering force. When it resounds in our lives, circumstances shift, impossibilities crumble, and divine opportunities unfold.

In the midst of your battles, invite the thunder of God's voice. Declare His promises over your life. Let His voice resound in you, through you, and for you, shaping your reality in His perfect will.

  • 23-215 Divine Detours: Navigating the Unconventional Paths of God's Voice

Greetings, warriors to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". This is your host, Matthew Adams. Today, we embark on an enlightening journey with the Israelites at the edge of the Red Sea, learning to hear God's voice amidst what seems like a chaotic detour.

    Scripture:

"Order the Israelites to turn back and camp by Pi-hahiroth between Migdol and the sea. Camp there along the shore." (Exodus 14:1-2)

The Israelites' flight from Egypt, guided by the divine presence of God through fire and cloud, led them to a vulnerable spot with the Red Sea ahead and Pharaoh's army behind. This seemingly impossible predicament opens a vista to comprehend how God's voice often comes to us in seemingly unreasonable directions. His paths might perplex us, but they are inevitably perfect for His divine plan.

Point 1: The Treacherous Trails of Faith

Faith is often tested on treacherous trails. The path of following God may not always be comfortable or logical, but it is precisely in such circumstances that we are molded for divine miracles. Remember, safety in God's arms doesn't necessarily mean the absence of visible danger.

Point 2: The Unconventional Directions of God

God's voice sometimes leads us in directions that defy human logic. Our limited perspective might view these paths as senseless detours, but in hindsight, we recognize their divine purpose. Unlikely paths do not necessarily imply God's absence; they often bear the hallmark of His unique direction.

Point 3: The Beauty of Divine Detours

It is often through these seemingly absurd detours that God reveals His nature most profoundly. He delights in moving beyond the confines of our human reasoning because His ways are not our ways. His unexpected directions are an invitation to experience His miraculous deliverance.

    Conclusion:

As followers of Christ, we must embrace the truth that God's voice may guide us into unconventional paths. His guidance, no matter how absurd it seems, is purposeful and precise. God's unlikely directions often lead to unimaginable destinations.

    Call to Action:

Embrace the seemingly unreasonable directions in your life as potential divine detours. Seek God's voice in the perplexing paths and remain open to His guidance, even when it defies human logic.

Let’s Pray: Dear Lord, we come before You with open hearts, ready to hear Your voice in every twist and turn of our journey. Guide us into, and out of, any predicament You choose. Help us embrace Your divine detours, trusting in Your unchanging character and perfect plans.

Thank you for joining me today as we explored the unconventional paths of God's voice. Always remember, God's divine detours are an invitation to experience His miracles. Stay resilient, continue to seek His voice, and remain open to His guidance.
