  • 23-164 Experiencing God’s Constant Presence: Unpacking Matthew 28:20

Welcome to another episode of "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". Today we are unpacking a powerful statement made by Jesus in the book of Matthew 28:20. This is a verse that holds a beautiful promise - "Be sure of this: I am with you always."

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

This promise of Jesus forms the cornerstone of our faith, reminding us that we are not alone and that He is always with us. It's a testament to God's constant presence in our lives, and His desire for an ongoing relationship with us. Through a deep dive into this verse, we will uncover three enlightening points to consider.

Point One - Assurance of His Presence:

The first point of reflection is the assurance of His presence. Jesus doesn't leave any room for doubt or interpretation - He is with us always. This promise applies to all circumstances and all seasons of life. God is not just passively observing, He is actively involved and engaged in our lives.

    Point Two - Constant Communication:

Taking inspiration from John Hyde, the famous missionary to India, we see a profound understanding of God's continuous presence. He experienced his relationship with God as a constant conversation. This implies that we are invited not only to speak to God but also to listen, and to be in constant dialogue with Him.

Point Three - Beyond the Tangible:

God's presence isn't confined to physical spaces or circumstances. As believers, we are temples of the Holy Spirit. God dwells within us, making our bodies, minds, and spirits a sanctuary. This deep-seated understanding transforms how we approach every aspect of our lives.

    Closing Conclusion:

In conclusion, Jesus’ promise in Matthew 28:20 is a powerful reminder of His enduring presence and willingness to engage in constant communication with us. The truth is, God is not distant. He is closer than our very breath, intimately involved in our lives, and is always ready for conversation.

    Call to Action:

Let's take a moment today to acknowledge God's presence, start a conversation with Him, and listen for His voice. Allow His promise to guide you, reassure you, and transform your relationship with Him.

    Closing Prayer:

Dear Jesus, thank You for Your reassuring promise that You are always with us. Help us to remember this truth in every circumstance. Guide us as we seek to deepen our relationship with You, learning to converse with You openly and honestly. May our hearts always remain open to Your guidance and comfort. Amen.

  • 23-163 Finding Rest in God's Presence: Unpacking Exodus 33:14

Hello and welcome back to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I am excited to delve into the word of God with you today. Our focus for this episode is Exodus 33:14, a verse filled with promise, comfort, and assurance.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

In this scripture, God responds to Moses' plea with a beautiful promise - "I will personally go with you, Moses, and I will give you rest —everything will be fine for you.” What a powerful affirmation from God! Despite common misconceptions, God's voice is not always one of chastisement. He is a God of encouragement, comfort, and very much the Lord of the "right now". Let's explore three powerful points from this verse.

Point One - God's Personal Assurance:

Notice that God assures Moses personally. "I will personally go with you, Moses". He calls Moses by name and makes a commitment to be with him. This reminds us that God is deeply personal and intimately involved in our lives. He knows our names, our situations, and He promises to journey with us.

Point Two - The Promise of Rest:

God promises to give Moses rest. What a profound declaration in a world that can feel unrelenting and exhausting! This divine rest is not just about physical relaxation, but about soul-deep peace and tranquillity that only God can give. It signifies safety, assurance, and the end of striving.

Point Three - Everything Will Be Fine:

Finally, God gives Moses the ultimate reassurance – "everything will be fine". It's a promise that transcends the challenges and trials of life. This encourages us to trust in God's sovereignty and His good plans for us.

    Closing Conclusion:

God's conversation with Moses in Exodus 33:14 demonstrates that His voice isn't solely about rebuke or correction. God is a comforting voice, a beacon of encouragement, and a source of rest. He reassures us of His intimate presence and promises that with Him, everything will be fine.

    Call to Action:

Today, I invite you to pause, reflect on Exodus 33:14, and let God's promise of His presence, rest, and assurance fill your heart. Ask God to help you experience this reality in your own life.

    Closing Prayer:

Father, thank You for the comfort and assurance You give us. As we navigate our lives, remind us of Your promise to personally journey with us, to give us Your divine rest, and that in You, everything will be fine. Help us to hold onto these promises during both peaceful and challenging times. Amen.

  • 23-162 A Love Letter From God

    My Dear Child,

I hear you, each and every time you call upon Me. Your voice is unique and precious to My ears. Each sigh of your heart, every word on your lips, they rise like a sweet aroma to Me. You are never alone, and I am never too distant to hear you.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

There are moments, I know, when My silence may feel as if I am far away or not listening. But remember this, My beloved: My timing is not yours, and My ways are not your ways. My silence does not denote absence. Even in those silent moments, I am working behind the scenes on your behalf, orchestrating a symphony of events for your good and My glory.

Sometimes, I wait to answer to deepen your faith, teach you patience, and build your character. However, be assured, I hear your prayers, your pleas, and your praises. When I answer, "Yes, I am here," it is not just an acknowledgment of your call, but a reaffirmation of My enduring presence with you.

You desire for My responses to be quick and decisive, and that is a noble desire. But understand that My timing is always perfect. Trust in that. Even when it seems as though the heavens are silent, trust in My love for you, in My wisdom, and in My sovereignty.

As for My word, treasure it within your heart. Let it be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. Treat it with reverence, not because it binds you, but because it is the expression of My perfect love for you, My guidance, and My will. Remember that My words are life and truth. They are not burdensome but freeing.

So, My child, keep calling upon Me and know that I will answer. Keep seeking Me, and you will find Me. Let our relationship deepen with each passing moment. Let your heart align more closely with Mine, and let your desires be shaped by My will. I am here with you, today and always.

    In My Unfailing Love,

    Your Heavenly Father

  • 23-161 The Depths of Knowing God: Lessons from Exodus 33:13

Hello, friends, and welcome back to another episode of "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I'm excited to explore God's word with you today, drawing inspiration from God’s Holy Word. Today's focus is on Exodus 33:13, where Moses candidly expresses his desire to understand God's ways more fully.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

In this intriguing part of the scripture, Moses, despite being a chosen prophet and having a close relationship with God, humbly confesses that his understanding of God's ways is not yet complete. Even though God had shown his favor to Moses in countless ways, Moses still seeks to understand Him better. This verse reveals three important lessons for us today.

Point One - The Infinite Mystery of God:

No matter how close we feel to God, how many prayers we've seen answered, or how many divine encounters we've experienced, the mystery of God remains infinite. God is not a puzzle to be solved, but a vast ocean to be explored. Moses, despite his close relationship with God, realizes this and humbly asks for greater understanding.

Point Two - The Desire for Deeper Understanding:

Moses' request signifies his deep longing to understand God better. He's not merely content with what he has experienced so far. His plea reflects his passionate desire to continue enjoying God's favor. This teaches us to never be complacent in our relationship with God, but to continually seek to understand Him better.

Point Three - God's Favor is Unchanging:

While Moses questions God's favor, the truth remains that God's favor is steadfast. It does not waver based on our understanding or actions. God's favor was clearly upon Moses, and it remains upon us, as believers, today.

    Closing Conclusion:

From Moses' conversation with God, we learn that understanding God's ways is a lifelong journey. Even when we are in the deepest depths of faith, we will still have much to learn about our Creator. This, however, should not discourage us but should ignite a passion within us to pursue God with even greater fervor.

    Call to Action:

Today, I challenge you to echo Moses' request in your prayers. Humbly ask God to reveal more of His ways to you, so you may understand Him more fully and continue to enjoy His favor.

    Closing Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank you for the favor you've graciously poured upon us. Like Moses, we long to understand you more fully. If it is true that You look favorably upon us, show us Your ways, and lead us into a deeper understanding of You every day. Amen.

  • 23-160 Embracing Vulnerability: The Power of Honest Dialogue with God

Welcome, dear listeners, to another episode of "The Power Of God's Whisper" Podcast. In this sacred space of contemplation and conversation, we explore the extraordinary power of God's voice in our ordinary lives. In the text of Exodus 33:12, Moses had an honest conversation with God, one that mirrored his fears and uncertainties. Our focus today will be on understanding and interpreting this dialogue in the context of our own lives.

Moses, tasked with leading the Israelites to the Promised Land, found himself questioning God's plan. His heart was weighed down with the enormity of the task, and he yearned for assurance from God, not just in words, but in his tangible presence. We are often in Moses's shoes, aren't we? Carrying burdens and responsibilities that seem insurmountable.

Point 1: The first point to consider here is the transparency in Moses’s conversation with God. He didn’t shy away from expressing his doubts and fears. He was raw, open, and sincere. In our lives, we often hold back our uncertainties and anxieties, but this text encourages us to bring them to the forefront of our dialogue with God.

Point 2: The second point to ponder is how God responded to Moses. Instead of reacting in anger, God extended assurances and a deeper understanding of His nature. This teaches us about God's character, His patience, and His understanding of our human predicament. It serves as a reminder that God is more concerned with our honest pleas than perfect piety.

Point 3: Lastly, we need to realize that our times of crisis often become the gateway to deeper spiritual experiences. The most profound revelations come when we are at our lowest, for it is then we truly open our ears and hearts to God. It is then we surrender and find His abiding presence.

    Conclusion:

As we conclude today's episode, let's remind ourselves that like Moses, we are not alone. Our doubts and fears do not disqualify us from God's grace. They don't make us any less worthy of His love. It's in our honesty and vulnerability that we build a deeper relationship with God.

    Call to action:

Let's strive to be more transparent with God, share our fears and doubts, and actively listen for His whisper. And while you contemplate these words, don’t forget to share this podcast with your friends and family. Let them too, find the comfort and strength in God’s whisper.

Let us pray…Dear Lord, thank you for your comforting presence and unwavering patience. In our moments of doubt and fear, help us to seek you with an open heart. May your whisper guide us, comfort us, and provide us with the assurance we need to navigate the challenges of life. Amen.

Thank you, dear listeners, for being a part of this enlightening journey. Remember, God is listening. He is ready to answer when you seek His help. Until our next episode, stay blessed and keep listening for God’s whisper.

  • 23-159 Emulating Joshua: A Deeper Look into Exodus 33:11

Hello, warriors. Welcome back to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". This is your host, Matthew Adams. Today, we're examining the life of a young man who truly knew the heart of God, Joshua, and focusing on Exodus 33:11.

Exodus 33:11 provides an intimate glimpse into the unique relationship between Joshua and God. Unlike others who either underestimated or idolized Moses' connection with God, Joshua saw it for what it was - extraordinary yet accessible. Today, we'll break down this passage into three detailed points to better understand the lessons Joshua's story holds for us.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

    Point 1: Understanding God's Impartiality:

First, Joshua recognized that God does not play favorites. As stated in Acts 10:34, Romans 2:11, and Galatians 2:6, God's love and grace are not exclusive, they are available to all who seek Him. Joshua knew this, and it gave him the confidence to aspire to a deep, personal relationship with God, just as Moses had.

    Point 2: Embracing the Attainable:

Second, Joshua shows us the importance of seeing the extraordinary as attainable. While many were awestruck by Moses' relationship with God, Joshua saw it as something he too could experience. He knew that God's communication with Moses was unprecedented, but he also knew it was not unrepeatable. His attitude encourages us to always pursue a deeper relationship with God, no matter how far-off it may seem.

    Point 3: Commitment to Presence:

Finally, Joshua teaches us about the power of remaining in God's presence. Even when Moses left the Tent of Meeting, Joshua chose to stay. His commitment speaks volumes about his hunger for God's presence and shows us the way to a deeper connection with the divine.

    Conclusion:

In conclusion, Joshua's story invites us to adopt a similar approach in our relationship with God. We are encouraged to understand God's impartiality, embrace the attainable, and commit to staying in His presence. If we do this, like Joshua, we too can experience an extraordinary relationship with God.

    Call to Action:

Now, it's your turn. Reflect on these lessons and ask yourself: How can I be more like Joshua? Can I embrace the attainable, remain committed to God's presence, and understand His impartiality? Consider these questions this week and strive to implement these lessons in your life.

Let’s Pray…Dear Lord, thank you for the inspiring story of Joshua. We ask for the courage and wisdom to emulate his faith. Help us understand your impartiality, embrace the extraordinary as attainable, and commit to remaining in your presence. Give us the strength to seek you tirelessly and the humility to stay in your presence even after others have left. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank you for joining me today on "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". May you have a blessed day, filled with God's whispers and guidance.

  • 23-158 For His Name's Sake: Understanding Guidance in Psalm 31:3

What's going on everybody? Welcome back to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". This is your host Matthew Adams, speaking, ready to dive deep into another powerful verse from the Holy Bible. Our focal point today is Psalm 31:3, where the Psalmist declares, “For the sake of your name, lead and guide me.” Now let's unravel this verse together, in a way anyone can digest, shall we?

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

In this Psalm, the writer is earnestly seeking God's guidance. This same desire for direction from God, I believe, can be seen in our lives today. And, just like a pastor I heard about who found guidance in an unexpected transition, God’s direction can come in surprising ways.

    Point 1: God's Converging Message:

First, let's look at how God often confirms His direction through others. This pastor I mentioned had a hunch about a shift in his church but never expected it would be his departure. When God placed that possibility in his heart, he was stunned. It was only through the confirmation of friends and other pastors that he realized this was indeed God's message to him. God can use other people to confirm what He's been speaking to our hearts.

Point 2: God's Timing and Our Faith:

Second, consider the timing of God's confirmation. Often, He allows us to wrestle with decisions on our own, letting us exercise our faith. It's after we've chosen, by faith, that He steps in with confirmation. This doesn't necessarily make the journey easy, but it ensures we're strengthening our faith muscles.

    Point 3: Caution and Confirmation:

Third, we should be cautious when someone claims to have a message from God for us, especially if it involves a major life change. However, if you’ve been seeking God about a particular direction and someone confirms it without prior knowledge, that could be a sign of His guidance.

    Conclusion:

In Psalm 31:3, we see a heartfelt plea for God's guidance. But we can trust that His guidance doesn't always look the way we expect it to. It could come as a series of confirmations from others, a testing of our faith, or a cautious nod toward a new direction.

    Call to Action:

Here’s what I want you to do this week: Pay attention to the whispers of God. If you're wrestling with a decision, ask God for His guidance. Look for His confirmation, but remember to exercise caution. Always filter everything through God’s Word and the peace He gives in your heart.

Thank you for joining me today on "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I hope this episode encourages you to seek God's guidance in every aspect of your life. Until next time, stay blessed and stay tuned. God is always speaking, be sure you’re listening to His whispers. Over and out, friends!

Let’s Pray…Lord, I listen earnestly for Your guidance, but You never told me to listen alone. Give me timely words from others  —and discernment to know when to heed them.

Thank you for reading The Power Of God's Whisper. This post is public so feel free to share it.

  • 23-157 Beyond Earthly Realities: Unraveling Heavenly Insights in John 3:12

Hello, hello, Warriors! Welcome to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I'm your host, and today we are setting our sights on the intriguing passage of John 3:12, where Jesus poses a question to Nicodemus: “If you don't believe me when I tell you about earthly things, how can you possibly believe if I tell you about heavenly things?” Sit tight as we're about to unpack this verse in ways that would make it simpler for anyone to grasp.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Point 1: The Earthly and the Heavenly:

First things first, Jesus in this verse is addressing the core distinction between earthly and heavenly things. We've just seen Him explaining the concept of being 'born again', which is fundamental to our spiritual life, yet He terms it an "earthly thing". It suggests there are heavenly truths, far beyond our earthly comprehension, that Jesus longs to reveal.

    Point 2: The Gradual Unveiling:

The second point we need to consider is this process of gradual unveiling. Jesus has an infinity of truths, but He knows we're only able to bear them one piece at a time. He isn't implying that the Bible is incomplete or that He will provide "new revelation" in terms of doctrines. Rather, He continues to shed more light on His Word, offering deeper insights and greater glimpses of His glory.

    Point 3: The Stretching:

Lastly, Jesus calls us to be stretched. As believers, we are invited to go beyond our comfort zones and lean into the depth of God’s truths. We are called to step outside our boxes and delve deeper, climb higher, and venture further into the heart of His Kingdom. Embracing heavenly things means embracing a journey that will stretch our faith and understanding.

    Conclusion:

In John 3:12, Jesus challenges us to expand our understanding, to go beyond the earthly truths we’ve grasped, and dare to delve into the heavenly. God continues to reveal Himself to us, layer upon layer, inviting us to embark on an eternal journey of discovering His heart and His Kingdom.

    Call to Action:

So, here's the action call, folks: take some time this week to ask God for heavenly insights. Dive into His Word with an open heart and ask Him to stretch your understanding. Remember, He has infinite truths to reveal, and our journey with Him is about constantly learning, growing, and stretching.

Thank you for tuning into "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". I hope this episode has encouraged you to seek deeper into God's heart. Remember, God is always speaking. Make sure you're taking the time to listen to His whispers. Until next time, stay blessed and keep seeking His heavenly insights. Over and out, folks!

Let’s Pray…Stretch me, Holy Spirit. Reveal to me the things of heaven. Help me grasp the truths that blow other people’s minds.

Thank you for reading The Power Of God's Whisper. This post is public so feel free to share it.

  • 23-156 New Identity: A Study on Revelation 2:17

Hello everyone, welcome back to "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". Today, we’re going to explore an intriguing part of the Bible, Revelation 2:17, where Jesus says, “I will give to each one a white stone, and on the stone will be engraved a new name that no one understands except the one who receives it.” So, let's dive into this like we're on a grand treasure hunt.

The Power Of God's Whisper is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Point 1: God as the Architect of Identity:

Our first point of consideration is about identity and God's unique role in shaping it. God relishes the opportunity to give His people new names; He did it for Abram, Sarai, Jacob, Simon, among others. What this teaches us is that our identity is not self-created or influenced by the world around us. Instead, it's lovingly crafted by God Himself.

Point 2: The Promise of a New Name:

Moving on to our second point, Jesus, in the book of Revelation, makes a beautiful promise to the overcomers: they'll receive new names in heaven. This name isn't just a combination of letters; it's a definition of who we are in Him, an affirmation of our unique identity in Christ. It's a name undeterred by our past, by what others think of us, or even by our perception of ourselves. It's a name rooted in Christ’s identity, mirroring our true purpose and essence.

Study Point 3: Embracing Your New Identity:

Lastly, and most importantly, it's crucial that we begin embracing this new identity that God bestows upon us. Maybe we've let others’ opinions, or our past experiences, dictate who we are. But remember, God calls you His child, He gives you His inheritance, He sees you whole in Christ, and crowns you with privileges as a priest and king. This identity isn’t something for the distant future; it’s your present reality, courtesy of His whispers.

    Conclusion:

In Revelation 2:17, we encounter the beautiful promise of a new identity in Christ, an identity handcrafted by God Himself. Our true identity isn't defined by our past, our peers, or our self-perceptions, but by the voice of God.

    Call to Action:

So here's your challenge for the week: start to see yourself as God sees you. Instead of focusing on your shortcomings, your past, or the labels that others have given you, focus on your God-given identity. Begin to believe in the name that He will engrave on your white stone. It's a name only you and God will understand, a name that reflects your truest self.

Thanks for joining me today on "The Power Of God's Whisper Podcast". Remember, God’s whisper is shaping your identity. Listen for His voice, and let it reveal to you who you truly are. Stay blessed, and keep listening for His whisper. Until next time, this is your host, signing off. God bless you all!

Let’s Pray…Lord, let me go ahead and “be”  —in experience  —who I really am. Let me live my new name now and enjoy it for all eternity.

  • 23-155 A Love Letter From God

    My Dearest Child,

In your moments of weariness and waiting, I see you. You've searched for answers, looking for a resolution to the struggles you face. Your heart longs for relief and for the fulfillment of the promises I've spoken over your life. I know you've sought My will diligently and I have been guiding you. But, My beloved, in your focus on your own needs, you may have missed the broader whispers of My voice. I am calling you not only to attend to your own needs but also to those of others.

My Reasons To Believe is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.

Remember, when you step outside of your own worries to help others, you draw My attention and favor. It's a divine principle of My Kingdom - as you pour out, I pour in. As you focus your prayers on others' needs, you will find that I am attending to yours. I understand this may sound counterintuitive, as expressed in Isaiah 58:8, but it is the mysterious way of My love.

Sometimes, you look to Me, questioning why I don't do something about your situation. But remember My dear one, I am often looking back at you, asking the same question. When you align your actions with My will and start taking steps, even small ones, towards resolution, you will find Me coming alongside you, empowering you, and quickening your progress.

I am not demanding perfection from you, nor am I holding your answers, hostage, until you reach some unattainable level of righteousness. Rather, I am looking for a shift in your heart, a turn towards selflessness and love for others. This is the action that stirs My heart and moves My hand.

So, do not lose hope. Like the watchman waiting for the dawn, keep your eyes on the horizon. Your salvation will come. Your healing will come. Your breakthrough will come. Not because you obsessively seek it, but because you have chosen to love others and to seek My heart above all else.

    With All My Love,

    Your Heavenly Father
